Red Bud Country Inn

I came in really late from a long travel. They worked well with us. Breakfast is continental. And rooms are spacious.

Nice staff, very clean, easy parking.

I stayed here over a month ago while on a road trip. While a little outdated, it was an amazing stay for the price! But around 8pm I got called to the front desk because they said they had accidentally refunded me, and they then asked me to pay again. I was a little skeptical, so I made sure to keep the receipt. Sure enough, I never got a refund in my account, and have called multiple times and have been led in circles, and still a month later have not received a refund. I loved my stay, but until they figure this out I’m leaving this one star review.

It was quiet, except for the room with the alarm going off down the hall. Half the towels were clean and there were books in the lobby. The fridge woke us up.

This place is very dated. The room had minimal outlets. In fact, I had to move the dresser to unplug the microwave so I could charge my hearing aid batteries. There were no Kleenex and body lotion. The carpet was dingy and stained. Though it advertises a free continental breakfast, the first morning there was NONE. The second morning the continental breakfast was out; however, it is very minimal, with everything pre-packaged. Only small Styrofoam coffee cups with no lids, making it impossible to take a cup "for the road." My final complaint is the price of a room. I feel it is overpriced for what you get. The previous two nights we stayed at the Clayton Plaza in St. Louis, which has wonderful amenities, including a full, hot breakfast with an omelette and waffle station. Yet the Red Bud Country Inn was, unbelievably, MORE expensive. Since there are no other hotel/motel options in Red Bud, it appears to be a typical case of supply & demand.

For a motel, it was a fine stay.
