Villa Bela Vista

Warm welcome from the owner and comfortable bedroom with amazing views over Sintra towards the National Palace. Well appointed bathroom with powerful shower and standalone bath. Comfortable bed and pillows. Enjoyable breakfasts with views over Sintra if the weather cooperates. Arrived in the evening which is advisable after most day tourists have departed and traffic in the one-way system through Sintra is significantly quieter. Managed to park in one of the hotel’s two parking spaces a very short walk up the road from it. Would stay again.

Wonderful breakfast with eggs made to order and bread basket/fresh fruit,coffee,fresh squeezed orange juice brought to the table…many other options at a self serve table.. my room had 2 walkouts. Lots of sitting areas to admire marvelous view and kitchenette. Walkable to many tourist attractions and just a couple hundred feet from shops and restaurants. Be prepared to walk uphill downhill everywhere and there’s no sidewalks. Many people use those Trekking or Nordic poles… if you have any balance issues or just like that style of walking, it’s a great place to apply it.

This hotel was Magnificent. Adorable with amazing views. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The room was adorable with a beautiful modern bathroom. Excellent location so close to downtown. The breakfast served was the best that we had in Portugal. Eve was so helpful with all of our questions. We wish that we had stayed longer! If you plan to drive a car there call in advance to figure out parking.

Perfection! That's the best way to describe our experience here. It starts with the breathtaking view, the beautiful house, the meticulous maintenance of every point here, the beauty of each piece and each corner, the welcoming of the wonderful, intelligent, shiny Eve, the beautiful, amazingly equipped room (with floor heating in the bathroom!), with the great breakfast, with the perfect location (literally one minute from city center). Though they were not allowed (preservation regulations) to add a passengers lift, they have an internal lift to take your luggage to your room. Perfection. I travel a lot all over the world, and this is probably one of the top 3 best hotels I've ever stayed in. I can't recommend it enough

nothing, it was a perfect stay. Bear in mind that they have only two parking spots, and they told us it's first-come, first-served. In a super-packed area like Sintra, make sure they keep your spot ahead for you

This property is truly amazing, the view is second to none. Bed, linens, towels are top notch and the free standing tub is just what you need after a long day of walking. Many good restaurants near by and the Breakfast at Hotel is great, loved the fresh fruit and croissants. Staff is very friendly. Check in/out was fast and easy. They have a lovely patio area. Close to city centre, sites and hop on hop off buses. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion provided. Quiet and modern design.

The location of Villa Bela Vista was excellent. We could walk to the city centre for shopping and dinner. We drove to Sintra so it was especially nice to have a parking spot "reserved" right by the hotel. The room was clean, spacious and well lit. The bed and other furniture was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

The only frustration we had was that the hotel is on a one-way street. On our first pass we missed the parking and had to go back around. In most cities this wouldn't be an issue but in Sintra, due to the number of one-way streets, it took us about twenty minutes. We just laughed about it and figured it was part of the Sintra experience. There's nothing the hotel can do about it - that's the way Sintra is - but it would have been good to know the location of the parking spaces before we arrived. (In fairness to the hotel, it may have been buried some where in email and I just missed it.)

Loved the view of Sintra from the property. Being so close to center Sintra was convenient for meals and shopping. Breakfast was very good. The common patio was a lovely place to unwind.

Nothing to dislike.

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Aussicht auf das Zentrum von Sintra. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut.

Wenig Parkplätze und viel Verkehr vor dem Haus.

Excellent accueil, personnel sympathique. Excellent petit-déjeuner. Belle grande chambre spatieuse, impeccable. Plusieurs fenêtres. Nous avons apprécié l'aide pour le stationnement. Il y a seulement 2 places réservées et on doit les contacter quelques minutes avant l'arrivée. Près des ruelles charmantes de Sintra.
