Il Carrubo Capri

The location in AnaCapri makes this property secluded and special. It has beautiful gardens, very well looked after, a lovely swimming pool that is great for laps and views over the Amalfi coast ocean. A complete bonus to our experience was that they offer and create a private dining experience that is so exclusive and home made delicious, it makes one feel like 7 star luxury. Nothing, everything was perfect.

This charming, family-style villa offers a truly relaxing atmosphere. The hosts are exceptionally kind — in fact, it’s the best hospitality we’ve experienced in Italy. The pricing is very reasonable for what you get — overall, a solid 10 out of 10 experience.

That I didn’t stay longer .

This place is amazing - such caring hosts, incredible view, just a really lovely place. With the bus stop outside of the gate it is easy to travel into/out of Anacapri. They were able to provide excellent recommendations of things to see and do. Breakfasts outside overlooking the sea were amazing.

Nothing, it was perfect.

We had really great time! Il Carrubo is a charming place, where pieces of a family history meet modern comfort, creating unique atmosphere. It is managed by young trio Alice, Corino and Michele, very nice people with whom we had long and pleasant talks about house, Capri and Italy. Oh, and of course the food… whether it is breakfast with the sea view or pasta they do for you at request - everything was delicious and with true home feel. It was our first visit to Capri, but we will be back!

Relaxing and intimate stay in a charming villa, with magnificent view and amazing hosts. Delicious breakfast. We loved the spaciousness and decor of our room (very fresh and light). The place is impeccably clean. We also loved our scooter trips around Capri Island (convenient rental with hotel delivery). The island is beautiful, but we felt the best at the hotel property.

There was no such thing. We strongly recommend this place and would definitely return!

Great location, 1 minute walking to the bus stop. Can watch sunset from pool side. Linens are fresh and clean, bathroom facilities are new and modern. The host people are very very nice and friendly. Provided quick response and super helpful travel tips. Their food is amazing too! Highly recommended!

The screen door of our room is broken by previous guests.. Hope they fix it soon. Not a big deal and it's not host's fault.

Everything was absolutely perfect - far, far beyond our expectations. Soon after arriving we decided to cancel our next destination (Florence) so we could stay longer at Il Carrubo! It's the most beautiful place and the staff could not be more incredible. They are kind, SO helpful (every detail of the stay taken care of, help with arranging and booking boat tours, dinner reservations, transportation, food, late-evening emergency requests, recommendations, detailed and helpful tips provided by phone, and more). The food is fresh and delicious - I'm still dreaming of those meals. The rooms, property, and pool are beautiful, comfortable, immaculately clean, and so peaceful. The location was perfect - away from the bustle of town, and super easy to walk or hop on the convenient bus (or take a taxi). The hosts' communication and responsiveness was excellent.

Honestly everything was perfect.

My sister and I got back on Tuesday from a wonderful 4 night stay at this beautiful villa in Anacapri. The property itself is stunning, and so are the surroundings - a beautiful view of the sea where the sunsets are incredible. The gardens are also gorgeous, and we were lucky enough to have some beautiful mornings sat outside eating breakfast. The hosts, Corino with his gorgeous family, are so welcoming and smiley - nothing is too much trouble and they were more than happy to answer any of our questions, plus book trips for us, taxis, tell us the best places in the area to visit, where to eat etc. The breakfast was out of this world, more delicious than you can imagine, with such attention to detail and new things to try daily, plus it was so speedy. It was all a completely streamlined service from start to finish. Our rooms were bigger than expected with so much storage space and a lovely bathroom, decorated with that charming Italian style. The boat trip Corino booked for us was an absolute highlight, a private boat tour around the island, amazing! The bus stop to Anacapri is just outside the property gates, making it so easy to get around, just a short trip. Then you can catch another bus to Capri or anywhere else around the island. But we also used taxis when coming home at night after dinner. I’d recommend to always ask how much it will be to your destination before setting off in the taxi as they can get quite expensive. All the taxis drivers knew exactly where this property was, making it so easy as well. It was a wonderful trip - a stunning, clean, friendly island with so much charm and character, plus some of the best food and coffee ever. We want to come back already!
