Beaver Dam Inn

I have stayed at this facility for the last 5 years. Each year is worse. This last time I had to change rooms twice before I got a tolerable one. Dirty sheets the 1st time -- looked like pizza sauce or something. The 2nd time was a filthy bathroom -- hair in the sink, the tub and on the floor. 3rd room had burns on the furniture and in the bed cover. All 3 smelled like mildew, had several huge holes (all the way through the drywall) in the walls in random places, and the carpet was sticky. The lobby had no air conditioning in the dead of summer. So much for being able to meet with family members in the lobby to play cards and things -- too hot. Nice people, but fairly gross rooms.

Very clean little place. Fresh bed linens, clean and plentiful towels. Staff was helpful and courteous. Free breakfast was adequate and offered her hot and cold options. As this is a remote area with very limited options this is a solid, clean and quiet place to stay. Definitely shoulders rated better than a 2 🌟.

We found this place on trip advisor after a bad experience trying to check in at another hotel from trip advisor. The rate was cheap, the rooms are nice albeit a little run down, and the staff was friendly. Much better than the previous hotel.

It's an older hotel with some bumps and scrapes but it's very easy to get to and the staff is friendly. There is a pool. There is a Denny's and Wendy's right in front and a Valero gas station right down the road. It's not the Ritz but it certainly was quiet and allowed us to sleep which was great

Inexpensive lodging for this remote area. Denny's and Wendy's in the parking lot. No cable news but free wifi. Easily accessible from the highway. Not far from Rosine Barn Jamboree on Friday night. Model of Bill Monroe's home place in the lobby.

Lets start at the front desk at check in. Then attendant did not seem very sociable and when i ask about a AAA discount she stated only with a AAA card. i stated that i have my number available and she said i could only get the AAA discount with an actual card and then went on to say "Do you want the room or not" The room was pretty clean and the bed was comfortable but you could see where they had moved items around on the wall s and had not properly patched and painted. The shower was another story as the wall paper was tearing and mold was starting to grow around the top of the shower. And the shower rod holders was very rusty. (See pics)

We were traveling thru and needed a place to stay. It was 1130pm Check in was very easy. We had to pay a $50 deposit of which we got back the next morning at check out. Hotel staff was very nice and welcoming. We had a 2 queen room. Room was very clean!! No bugs!!! Room was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, TV, and free wifi. Beds were decent (I slept well, just not as soft as what I'm used to) air conditioner blew cold air and was very quiet, (didn't even know it was on.) Hotel provides a variety of breakfast with choices of coffee/juice/milk/hot chocolate/cappuccino!! Overall, for a one night stay, it was very good! Would stay again if in the area!

This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. That says a lot from being a person that travels a lot of places the Manager is not respectful to anyone. The money they take is not worth what we are staying in. $400 a week to stay in the motel when the Wifi doesn't even work and the pool doesn't even have Clean smell like supposed to be. Most of all the room are nasty wallpaper that has been pulled off and much more.

If you are looking for the latest in luxury and modern - this isn't for you. If you like warm and friendly people, comfortable accommodations, good facilities - drop in. The corridors are a little moldy and the smell of cigarettes is strong. That's it, the only bad thing I have to say. Once you are in your room there is no smell and the rooms are clean and well-designed. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and have not only the usual ironing board and tv, there is free wifi, a microwave and a fridge. Water is hot and pressure is good, beds are comfortable, free breakfast in the morning and a computer in the lobby so you can print a boarding pass if you're off to the airport. They don't have a restaurant but a Denny's is maybe 100 yards away and if you tell them at Denny's that you're staying at the Inn, you get 15% off - and I had one of the best steaks there I've had in a while and the total bill was under $15. There is an elevator for the upper floors. There is a small pool and an area to sit outside. I had a lovely stay and sort of wishes I had an extra day just to relax.

This is a very clean, wellrun hotel in a small town. It is more than you would expect and the service and accomodations were excellent. It does not appear to be a partof a chain which makes it even better.
