B&B Sorrento Relax

No communication with us prior to arrival as to where keys may be. No signage on building to indicate the B&B. thankfully we had a wonderful taxi driver that was able to call property on our behalf and get some sort of instruction. Tenant in building was able to help us with the keys which did not operate properly on main door to building. Outdated room. Wifi did not work. Contacted property manager who did not respond. Tv remote did not work. No batteries in it. Not worth the money. Would not recommend. Glad we were there less than 12 hours. I did contact Yash at Hotels.com and he was helpful. Do not support this establishment.

Property canceled on us day of arrival but said nothing until my wife and I we’re standing at the locked front door of the property in Sorrento in the hot sun. Called the contact who said they had a plumbing issue. Had to find last minute accommodations ourself. Still haven’t refunded my money after 2 months. Do not even think about booking this place m. Shady operation!

There was no advance message from the property indicating how to arrive at the B&B, which was on the second floor of a shabby apartment building with no number on the outside. There was no communication regarding where the keys were (in the metal box to the right of the entrance); the location of the apartment (floor and door number); where to park; how to pay; nor what time breakfast would be served. The hotels.com advertisement contained no phone number to call. We were able to find the keys, enter the building, and find the apartment because the cook in the posh restaurant next door offered to guide us. The restaurant's kindly gentleman owner and courteous staff have to deal with these issues related to the B&B all the time: they have the property manager's number, call him, and then guide people and show them where to park, where the keys are, and where the apartment is. THIS IS NOT THEIR JOB and they are sick of handling the responsibility for the property manager, who they describe as "a bad guy". The property has apparently been re-named in recent advertisements because of all the bad publicity the B&B has received in the past, because of the above issues. The apartment itself is fine, clean and spacious and leading off of a spotless kitchen, but there was no soap or shampoo in the shower, and no indication what the WIFI address and password were. Never again.

The name Sorrento Relax does not exist at the property! The host has to send you check in instructions via WhatsApp! But you first have to contact him via WhatsApp! He is too lazy to contact you! The listing says ‘check in starts at 1:30pm’ Note there is no reception, it’s just a building! I called the number, the host does not speak English! Once we managed to make contact via WhatsApp, he said, oh let me check if the room is ready! By now it’s 2pm! He did not reply as we waited patiently until 2:30 pm at which time, I contacted him again via WhatsApp if the room is ready! He finally send us a bunch of videos to access the room! Next the lock at our room was broken, so we could not leave afterwards to protect our valuables! Next day we checked out at 10 am, he sends us us a WhatsApp message saying we have to pay for another night!!! Seriously this is a bad choice to book, and there are no reviews on Expedia about this place! So I sincerely hope our review will get posted! Also there is No Parking!!! We were on our bikes and barely managed to park across the building thanks to a local showing us!!!
