The helpfulness of staff, the lift

Some of the staff are lovely. But the complex looks like and feels like a public housing estate. The only real benefits are parking is available and it's a convenient spot for events. Really not recommended for family people though.

I was shown by one of the shady looking long term residents how tow balls were stolen from draw bars. Gone in under 7 seconds. Slept in a bed that was a sheet laid straight on a mattress that looked like half a dozen people had been murdered on it, no mattress protector between me and all that. And when discovered and I asked for a remedy, was bawled out by an aggressive housekeeper who told me it's fine! I disagreed and insisted on a mattress protector between me and that mess of a mattress. She provided one. She seemed keen on SNOW and kept saying you can never have enough snow, and bring on the snow. As far as I know it doesn't snow in Adelaide. While I was there, twice dodgy characters tried to break into cars. One time resulting in a naked guest sprinting across the car park in hot pursuit. Later followed by another attempted theft, another pursuit, this time clad in a bath towel. One room had the windows blacked out with thick plastic. The room I was in had a blind that did not cover the window and everyone passing had a birds eye view. I slept with a towel or quilt stuffed under the door to keep out the smoke and fumes from activities outside. There was also a blistered scorch mark on the bedside table and an overpowering chemical smell in the room. On another occasion I went out and returned to find burning knock off cigarettes had been put in every drawer and the whole room reeked of smoke. This is an unmanned site (no staff or desk) and you are pretty much on your own. Not recommended for solo females or families.
