Casa Dos Fridas SMA

Location, staff, private parking, Frida Kahlo touches everywhere.

Room was a bit cold.

Spacious room with nice shower and ample hot water. Wifi was decent. Rooftop patio was comfortable.

Extremely noisy at all hours. Dogs, cars, motorcycles, fireworks, etc.

The location is convenient to the markets and Centro and the kitchenette allowed me to eat an early breakfast. There was hot water for the shower. I liked the entry hall with Frida Kahlo portraits. The blue facade of the hotel makes it very easy to recognize. The street vendors had quesadillas and fresh strawberries at the market price or less and it was good.

It was a bit cold at night even with two blankets so I thought about asking if there was an electric heater but managed to keep warm at night by layering and wearing my puffy jacket to bed. Also I missed having a full length mirror.

Comfortable bed.

kitchenette is very basic

Parking and location

Woefully ill equipped. 2 mugs, 2 knives, 2 forks and 2 teaspoons. Drinking water never replaced and requests ignored. This could be a great place with better communication from owner/caretaker and more kitchen utensils !

Nice rooms. Great staff. Great communication.

Water in hallway. Electricity was an issue but promptly sorted. My girlfriend wanted to stay elsewhere which cost more. We spoke to staff and the manager who assured we would be refunded. Turns out the place we did stay was less value for money. I definitely recommend this stay to anyone. The staff and communication was great and the value for this accommodation was great.
