Host Stay Castle View

Location was very good between seahouses and Bambrugh and near the beach with cut through through the housing estate to the front .

It needs a new sofa. Extremely uncomfortable as springs have gone and saggy base cushions . No good if 4 people are staying needs 2 decent sofas . One across the room and one under kitchen counter or L shaped and one chair . A decent dining table more robust and 4 decent dining chairs would not go amiss either. Do not stay here if you are not related closely the bathroom is minute and it sounds like you are in the room with whoever is in there . I would say adults with children only but a lot of stairs 2 flights . I think they should have made main bedroom smaller and bigger bathroom . An ensuite of tiny proportions for 4 people .

Massiv Schimmel in der Dusche, Bad so verkalkt, als wäre seit Jahren nicht geputzt worden, Haare im Waschbecken, total verkalkter Wasserkocher, Essensreste am Kochgeschirr - ab Buchung wird man bombardiert mit Nachrichten und Werbung, was man noch alles buchen kann - wenn man aber eine tatsächliche Frage hat, kommt keinerlei hilfreiche Antwort - nicht geeignet für Radfahrer - keine Abstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder, Laden im Gebäude und auf dem Grundstück verboten (ohne vorherige Info und ohne Begründung)

Well equipped kitchen for cooking. The large windows in the living room with a sea view made it a very peaceful and relaxing break away

Shower room was a little small if more than 2 people were staying. It is dog friendly but has no garden

The location was absolutely perfect for us. Me, my wife and 7 year old son stayed here after looking at numerous places to stay between, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Beadnell. We wanted somewhere close enough to Bamburgh and close to a beach and shops and restaraunts. We chose this Host & Stay at Castle View in Seahouses as it ticked all the boxes and was also a good base for visiting Alnwick, Alnwick Castle, Alnwick Gardens and Lilidorei. Looking at the maps it seemed close enough to walk to the beach. But it was even closer than i thought. Its literally a couple of mins round the corner and its a 5 minute drive to Bamburgh Castle. The beaches are amazing. White sand for miles and blue sea (on a nice day). The appartment itself in a cul de sac in a nice modern estate which is well kept. We collected our key from a small key safe on the wall outside which we were given a code for by text on the morning we were arriving. There's parking for a couple of cars diectly outside. The living room area is comfortable with a wall hung TV with access to Youtube etc and anice solid fuel stove with wood and fire starters supplied and a well equiped open plan kitchen on the 3rd floor which has good natural light with 3 large velux style windows facing the sea which you can clearly see with the Farne Islands in the distance and 2 windows on the kitchen side looking out the front. Downstairs on the 2nd floor has 2 comfortable double bedrooms with an ajoining shower room and toilet. The beds are comfortable with wardrobes and drawers and bedside lamps. The ground floor from the front door takes you up the stairs to the 2nd floor landing and bedrooms. All in all, i would highly recommend this comfortabe appartment as a base for the particular area which i highlighted. We are already thinking about booking again next year.

Lovely apartment in a very good location.

Good location. 20 minutes walk to the town, where there was a good selection of pubs and places to eat. Nicely laid out. Comfortable bed. Brilliant shower. Parking. Neptune's was a great fish n chips venue. The Old Buoy Inn served quality food.

Bathroom too small. Was adequate for two but not four persons. Freezer could have been defrosted. Overall, the pros definitely outscore the cons.
