Flat is clean, beautifully decorated and well located .

We travelled a long distance and arrived 20 minutes after our stated arrival time. We also struggled with network connection and hadn’t provided our mobile number. When we arrived and tried to find the apartment we really struggled for a further ten minutes. We found restaurant jamila and were desperately going through the long info messages for contact details. We phoned one of the provided numbers 3 times, and it sent us through to the wonderful Italy company. Every time I pressed the required service the phone was hung up on me. Finally the lady who had the key found us to our great relief, and pointed out the apartment front door round the corner. The lady was incredibly angry with us. She was stressed and frustrated. But rather than realise we were tired travellers who were only 30 minutes late, she vented at us. I pointed out that I’d tried to contact her through the number (there was another id missed) she just shrugged her shoulders at me. She was incredibly rude. We are seasoned travellers, both in our 50s, we were slightly late. I’ve never experienced such rudeness. The flat itself is fabulous, but before I entered the actual property I was regretting the booking. The attitude really spoiled our entire first evening. I’ve never had to review like this and I don’t like to say it. But there needs to be some allowance for tired travellers and a vast improvement in Wonderful Italys communication with customers.

The flat location was optimal, very central. The rooms are furnished in an original style with an antique flair. There was plenty of space for two, and the kitchen was well equipped. The reception for us was good and the lady was there early.

The old town is noisy at night, especially Friday & Saturday. Wonderful Italy spammed me starting months before the trip.

This was a lovely, typical traditional Italian apartment so had some character. its very close to Trattoria Ugo which Suzanne, our host, recommended and indeed it was excellent.

We were here Sunday - Tuesday and many of the shutters were down on the premises in the little alleyways and additionally the walls and shutters were heavily covered in graffiti - although to be fair that was the story anywhere in the old town. Although there wasn't a lot of dog crap in the alleys some of the smaller ones, again throughout the old town, stank of dog's piss. It could be that we were there on 'closed days' or that a lot of businesses have closed or that some of the metal shutters are for private garages but it left the area feeling a little dingy. One graffiti slogan read 'no to gentrification' and I felt myself thinking the place could use some! That said we never felt unsafe or were hassled in a threatening way - there are one or two hawkers of cheap tat that do the rounds in the street cafe's but the most harmless I've ever encountered.

Air Conditioning only partly working. No cold water

The location was perfect, right in the centre, close to bars, restaurants, and the tourist attractions.

We received too many messages about checking in/out and booking trips through the landlord, several messages every day is just too much. It can get quite noisy at night or in the morning with the church bells, especially in summer with the windows open.

Great communication from very friendly team. Great location, brilliant bars and restaurants just around (every) corner. Great place to explore Genoa and also not too far from the train station (brignole) for access to lots of beautiful places along the coast.

Location was great, just a few steps from S. Lorenzo Cathedral, 3 streets from Port Antico. Room was clean and very spacious. We had good facilities and Fabio was a good adversary for Wonderful Italy.

Coffee in the apartment would have been nice. Everything else is fine for a few nights stay

Well-kept, well-equipped apartment in downtown Genoa, near the Porto Antico. Great location to restaurants and shopping everyday. need. Very comfortable property with aircon and lift. Very helpful host who gave us great advice on local restaurants. Parking super.
