Keweenaw Waters Resort

We rented cabin 22A during Parents Weekend at Michigan Tech. We were able to use the full service kitchen to give our sons a touch of home cooking and a comfortable place to linger should they choose. For the parents, the balcony view was amazing and everything was clean and new. There was some footstep noise above us but nothing out of hand. Highly recommend.

I love the location and the view!

I don’t like that if you are in a bottom cabin you can hear EVERYTHING 👀. I also didn’t appreciate the text asking to tip the staff after we left. That was confusing? We pay a cleaning fee and not once did I ever see a staff person? So I’m still confused on who we would even tip or why.

Pet friendly! Very cool location on the river in Houghton. Open terrace to enjoy the view and ambience. Spotlessly clean!! Full-sized refrigerator and all kitchen appliances.

Steep stairs going down to our rooms were a little tricky to maneuver with luggage.

While the view was beautiful and the town adorable the furniture left a lot to be desired. The outdoor chairs which are typical chairs for a table were not comfortable enough to sit outside and enjoy it for long. The couch was not deep enough or plush enough to be comfortable either. The bed frame creaked with every turn. We had high hopes for these units which are all cookie cutter with the same furniture in each so there’s no options. We rarely write a disappointing review as we do a lot of research before choosing accommodations, especially if we are spending several nights there. That being said, communication was great, the room was very well upkept and clean and is cute to look at.

It was very clean. It had an awesome view. Very comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen with a washer and dryer. Beautiful up north decorations. Even a sauna in our unit! Very spacious!

The stairs to our unit might discourage those with mobility issues.
