Maison Groleau

What a lovely place to stay. Maison Groleau is the most beautifully decorated house and the bedroom we stayed in was a delight with plenty of space and spotlessly clean as was the whole house. Pierre and Guillaume are the most perfect hosts. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer to sample Guillaume evening meal, but if the breakfast was anything to go by this would be an experience. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here. We'll definitely be back during one of our long return trips to Portugal by road. Thanks Guys.

As a VERY seasoned traveller in Europe bot for work or social, I come across a variety of "hardly try" establishment. This Maison Groleau is just the opposite: Trying hard and... delivering expectations. Superb site but not vulgar flash, superb rooms and very friendly welcome by the owners who will literally go out of their way to please! One example only: Evening plane into Bordeaux was very late. I told them so and the reply was "do not worry, we will wait for you"... We arrived just before midnight and so they were; even even offering us a beer to refresh our miserable selves... This beautiful chambre d’hote is an absolute must if you’re traveling to/through this area. Set in lovely countryside and it’s own vineyard, the glorious building doesn’t disappoint when you eventually enter!! Tastefully decorated, with an eclectic mix of modern and traditional pieces, with public areas shared with the owners. We stayed in ‘Pin’, a beautifully decorated double room with a huge comfortable bed and views over the vineyard and countryside. The owners, Guillame & Pierre were welcoming and we chose to eat ‘at their table’ in the evening. The food was exceptional and we drank wine from their vineyard. This is a ‘must do’ if you stay there. Breakfast was also delicious with many homemade items.

A cosy and beautiful hotel with nice rooms and a garden with a nice pool. The coupe who owns the hotel is very friendly and service minded! The meals are homecooked and delicious. The vine is local and the sorroundings are beautiful. We highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful restored house with the most amazing hosts! The interior is a personal eclectic mix of old and new and the breakfast and dinner were fantastic, all locally sourced and from their own garden. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home! Highly recommended!

Vi har overnattet på det bedste hotel. Utrolig søde værter, fantastiske omgivelser, dejlig hjemmelavet mad og andre delikatesser og meget flot indrettet værelse samt hus. Bestemt værd at besøge.

Maravillosa estancia, la decoración es soberbia, en el desayuno todo casero y de primer nivel, todo impecable. Las vistas a los viñedos son preciosas. Sin dudas volveremos para seguir disfrutando del lugar.
