Great location on the path walk & also bus stop. The bed linen & towels were very nice plus a really great breakfast. Think it was overpriced for the size of the room given we’ve stayed in quite a number of places in Cornwall & surrounding southern counties. Unfortunately there was no room for our napsacks (left then in front of closed door to room) no hooks or hanging spots….would hate to be there with wet gear. Separate wc to bathroom which was good but shower room very tiny although shower was roomy.

Our stay at this hotel was thoroughly enjoyable, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hotel itself is steeped in history and Cornish charm, having been built in 1838. It is located in the picturesque village of Zennor, which is situated between the rugged moors and granite cliffs of Cornwall's far west. One of the highlights of the location is the connection with the book "The White Horse of Zennor" by Michael Morpurgo; which is a children's novel that tells the story of a young boy who discovers a mysterious carving of a white horse in the church at Zennor. The carving is said to have magical powers, and the boy becomes obsessed with unraveling the mystery of its origin. Whilst we could not find a carving of a horse in the nearby St. Senara's church, it is home to the famous Mermaid of Zennor carving. The Tinners Arms next door had a great atmosphere and we enjoyed some delicious food. We also visited the ice cream shop, which was a perfect treat after a day of walking the south west coast path. We noticed that many of the other guests staying at The White House were also walking the coast path, so it seems like a popular place to stay for those exploring the area on foot. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at The White House, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cornwall. The location, history, and local amenities make it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful and unspoilt far west of Cornwall.
