Staff were friendly. They always confirmed first if there were any extras to be charged. The room is comfortable and really feels like a retreat.

Signage for the hotel could be better and more prominent. The location is great and very central in Stone Town, but I wouldn’t stay here if traveling as a solo female because waking back at night can be uncomfortable.

For stone town it was a good location, allthough with big bags it can be difficult from the road. The hotel is nice and has great potential, the food was good, and the staff were lovely. They let us have our room from 8am as we arrived early which was good of them and we appreciated that alot after a long flight. If the power cuts had not of happened I'd of been happy with the stay and the hotel does pretty much match the pictures and you do feel safe when in the hotel.

The power cuts we had, we thought it was the whole area, but it turns out it was just within the hotel. I'm an electrician myself and understand there are issues, but for £150 a night, i shouldn't be told I can't use the air con, especially when it's hot. There was a party at the hotel which is nice but it was mainly locals and the owners again nice to be invited but as we were up at 4am for a safari the noise was a little annoying especially with the power cuts so we couldn't wait in our room. We also paid for breakfast. we did arrive early in the morning, and they said we would have to pay for breakfast that day, which we did. But as we were leaving the next morning at 5 am for a safari, we were told we would be given a packed breakfast, but this didn't happen. These are small negatives but I'm just being honest

Sadly, the description is nothing like reality. The set up was not to our liking and the reception service we got on the day of arrival were abysmal, no phones in the room so one has to walk down to reception to make requests. The AC's in both rooms did not work. The location was ok, but too busy and noisy for our liking. Our bathroom only had hand wash and shower gel, no bath gel. Not great for the price offered, We ended up moving to another hotel.

Quiet though in the center of Stone Town Service very good. Excellent breakfast I felt very safe wherever I went day or night, just use your normal city street sense.

Be aware this is really in the center of Stone Town. The “streets” are extremely narrow, no vehicles allowed. This is an attraction but be aware that a very short walk will be required from your taxi. Not a negative for me but be aware.

Had a room at the very top of the building but good exercise with concrete steps. Room very pleasant. Good AC and kettle/coffee/tea in room. Breakfast included in room price very good. Prices for other meals expensive but lots of options within walking distance. Boutique attached to hotel. Overall convenient, clean and comfortable with pleasant and accommodating staff for a short stay in Stone Town.

Liked it a lot! Nice boutique with a modern concept. Helpful staff. Big, spacious room. The breakfast was GREAT! It's in a perfect location: close to the port, the Old Fort and the fish market. Only thing is it's noisy at night. You can hear everything from outside and below, but still 5 stars from me.
