Great hotel

The chef Fatima is awesome. Was definitively the best food on out entire Nicaraguan trip.

The mosquitoes were more than I had felt anywhere else. Take bug spray!

We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay here at Hotel Tranquillo . We had arrived in Las Penitas later than we had expected but Carmen reached out to make sure everything was okay . You can really tell Carmen and Jack really care about their guests and want to ensure that they feel accommodated and welcomed . The hotel grounds are beautiful . Quaint and feel like a little paradise . Rooms are spacious and so nicely decorated . It was very hot the days we were there but the property had many shaded areas you could sit and relax or play many of the games they have there at your leisure. Food was really good . The gallopinto had everyone raving & the drinks were 10/10. We were travelling with two other families we all left with the consensus of truly enjoying our stay and any chit chats we had with Carmen and Jack . We would gladly book our stay here next time we are in the area . Thank you so much Jack and Carmen .

We would recommend Hotel Tranquilo to anyone visiting Las Penitas. Very clean and private. Perfect balance of a quiet hotel, private beach, and short walk to the malecon. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and served with a tasty drink. Purified water is on site, which was a plus. Misslady was awesome and provided the perfect service to balance privacy and attention. If we ever return, we hope to see her again since she represented Hotel Tranquilo and Las Penitas with excellence.

It is a place with a view of the sea, beautiful vegetation in the hotel

This is a calming oasis hidden on a coastal beach town. The area has a private, cozy bed and breakfast feel and the staff was out-of-this-world friendly. It’s got a beautiful pool and sits on the Pacific Ocean.

Everything!!! This hotel was absolutely amazing. I do not even know where to begin. First, the staff were amazing! we had a super late checkin (12:30am) and I was honestly worried. The security guard was waiting for our group to let us in and we were able to go straight to our room and checkin the next day. So above and beyond! Second, the room was perfect. The A/C was so good and there were so many hooks and counters for us to really spread out in the room. We had the King suite and it had its own porch with a hammock facing the ocean. So relaxing. The shower was not heated, but it was not necessary. The water was a perfect temperature, not hot and not cold. I took six showers over two days. Trust me, it felt really good. Third: Breakfast- Wow!!! There were three included options and all three were super delicious and made fresh for you. The service was so great. The property host was so nice and really made our stay that much better. Fourth: Location - We were ON the beach. Literally. We walked right there. And they had a rinsing station to get all the sand off when you got back. Thank you for an amazing, relaxing stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Having to unlock and lock the gate to the beach. I understand the need for being secure though. Maybe an easier gate to open/close would help. The waves were so STRONG. So be careful. We tried to boogie board and it literally destroyed the board into pieces. The wonderful host did warn us though. So, make sure you listen to her when she says the waves are strong.
