We liked the location of the Pensión and the complimentary fruits and little snacks.

Unfortunately, we got the worse room with “Illusion of a window” - you think there is normal window but when you open it, you stare directly to narrow shaft and there is almost no air circulation and no day light. For me it felt like no window at all - this was not properly described on booking.com and felt like a scam. I think there is a limited number of rooms with normal windows to be fair. The bed was very small, the quality of the mattress was very poor or very worn out. I understand higher pricing in San Sebastian as hotels are more expensive in general there, but for over 140 eur/night this was a disaster and even the complimentary fruits and nice communication cannot save this. Sorry.

El portal y la habitación mucho olor a humedad,mui cutre para valer 165 euros la noche

Afschuwelijk! Schimmel, geen daglicht, stank en een medewerkster die waarschijnlijk een moderne slavin is ... ze is 24 uur per dag "beschikbaar" omdat ze in een kamertje (ook zonder daglicht) een bed heeft. Mensonterend! Na een nacht vertrokken! Nogmaals: horror!

Le point fort de ce lieu est son emplacement à un pas de la plage de la Conche. Si je n’ai pas vu le propriétaire il a toujours été très réactif à mes demandes par téléphone (message et appel), très sympathique également. Une cafetière est gracieusement mise à disposition avec un choix de capsules ainsi que quelques viennoiseries emballées, ce qui peut dépanner.

La fenêtre de la chambre qui ne peut pas jouer son rôle classique car elle donne sur une minuscule cour cernée par de très hauts murs. (Est ce un Puits de jour? )

The beach is right on your doorstep and the old town is very close too

I’m surprised with the high ratings of this hotel, which was the main reason I booked. There was no air conditioning and the room was very hot. The window opened out to a very dirty courtyard and there was always a smell of grease or food so you couldn’t leave it open. The shower was absolutely tiny and the towels didn’t smell fresh. The floors were never swept and the bedsheets were never changed, which is an issue as there’s no air con in the room and no ventilation so overall we felt our stay was very grubby.

Location, cleanliness, staff

Pre-communication and online check in. Prime location from main bus station, local bus stops and walking distance to local places of entertainment. Yet position is quiet with no outside noise. Coffee machine in room and free fruit and snacks. Room is good size and clean. Receptionists are discreet but available to help.

Room no natural as in facing. No problem as spent little time there.

La camera non era molto pulita e c'erano segni di incuria: maniglia della finestra che traballava, idem il porta rotolo della carta igienica e luce del bagno che si accendeva male.
