RUMAH KAYU RESORT

This is such a beautiful resort, so thoughtfully designed to blend into nature, the resort cascades throughout stunning gardens, down the gentle slope. Till you get to the restaurant & stunning pool at the bottom. It’s a paradise. The staff were amazing. The room was gorgeous. We had 2 bed Villa. Which worked well for us with our 2 children. Breakfast is nice, Ala carte menu, with what you’d expect, eggs, fruit, pancakes, fresh juice, choice of pastries etc. The pool is stunning, the landscaping & lighting details throughout the gardens, the pebble path. It’s all just so gorgeous! Very clean standard. We ate at local near by restaurants which were nice. Not a lot walking distance but we utilised the free shuttle into Ubud most days, no problem using grab or go jek & drivers thru the resort.

Food at the restaurant could be improved, the service is always lovely but it was slow to get meals & meals served all different times. Not a big deal but could be improved upon. The 2 bedroom villa was very dark & impossible to see into suitcase. Not a big deal but also could be improved upon.

We loved the Executive Suite. It is even more gorgeous in real life. It has a high ceiling, lots of glass windows & a lovely outdoor bathroom, indoor toilet. It’s very clean aesthetic. No mosquito curtain which makes the room feel even more refined in my opinion. The Suite is located near the pool / spa, at the bottom of the resort. Absolutely stunning room. Highly recommend. Staff lovely, breakfast was great, can’t wait to return. We also booed a Deluxe double room for our children, which seemed so lovely & luxurious for them! The were directly over looking the pool in room 1.

The restaurant was a little slow & could be improved upon, meals came out very separately. Not a big deal but could be improved upon.

Personal = Top! Bett = Top! Essen = Lecker! Zu jeder Portion wird reichlich serviert. Teilweise fühlt man sich, wie in einem Dschungel. Sehr ruhig. Diese Unterkunft ist empfehlenswert und ich würde sie erneut buchen. Per WhatsApp ist die Rezeption zu erreichen und die Antwort kommt innerhalb kürzester Zeit.

Es folgen Verbesserungsvorschläge. Allerdings ist diese Unterkunft empfehlenswert und ich würde sie erneut buchen. Stärkeres Licht wäre empfehlenswert. Für Frauen wird es schwer, sich zu schminken. Boden quietscht, aber ich denke, das gehört zu dem Ambiente und macht es besonders. Badewanne sollte in diesem Zimmer ausgetauscht werden. Bereich um den Swimmingpool könnte größer sein. Aber alles in Allem ist diese Unterkunft sehr zu empfehlen und ich würde es auf jeden Fall erneut buchen.

Beautiful hotel and area, spacious rooms, very friendly and supportive staff. I got sick before arriving at Rumah Kayu but the staff was very helpful in finding a doctor and accommodating with my health-related diet. Always with a smile.

It was a bit far from the center with shops and restaurants, but as the hotel offered a complimentary shuttle service it was no issue.
