Sugar Maple Inn

Great for an easy stay and a big outdoor area. Good for multiple families to stay and use the common areas.

The Inn is very new, which has pros & cons. The space is newly constructed, the rooms clean, the Inn has a bit of an odd layout, but is overall nice & well-appointed. Staffing is thin which wouldn’t generally be a problem, but it made for an inconsistent vibe & experience. Breakfast was excellent one day, the next we waited & were told that eggs would be made “if the cook wakes up in time & feels like making them.” The main dining room was very cold in the morning. It was stressful to see & hear unattended children of staff not get the attention they needed. The Inn is very conveniently located, has nice modern style with comfortable rooms, & I’m sure will be excellent after working out some kinks.

This was our second visit, and this lovely, family-run inn just keeps getting better. The owners have done a truly amazing job in just a year's time since our previous stay, which includes opening the warm, welcoming restaurant with top-notch food and stellar cocktails. I've been visiting VT for ski season since I was a kid. We stayed in chain motels, B&Bs, you name it—and Sugar Maple Inn is right there alongside my favorite VT memories. I'm overjoyed to have brought my own children here for a weekend of skiing (Mt. Snow is just 5 min away) and relaxing by the fire, and I have no doubt they'll remember it as fondly as I do the places that my parents brought me. And that's not those superb cocktails talking—we truly love this place, and can't wait to go back next year.

The hotel is well preserved, clean and nice. Great coffee machine and nice breakfast. They need to change their room cleaning policies though. Covid is long over now. You need to ask for your room to be cleaned and in one occasion even with the request, one of the rooms I had was not made up. Also, they need to make clear that there is no hot tub and heated pool at the premisses. Thermostats at the rooms also need to be revised, as the room temperature gets quite warm in the night. We enjoyed it but the place can improve with this simple things.

Best family friendly Inn for trip to Mount Snow

Beautifully renovated inn. Natalie the owner was so sweet and accommodating. Amazing staff! We stayed in a cute cozy room. Super clean and comfy beds. We stayed here during the 1st week of the restaurant called “the social”. The food was delicious. The free breakfast was a nice treat. My son made waffles the 3 days that we were there before we went out to ski. Mt snow was a quick 4min ride I would definitely come back here again! Go through their website instead of Expedia for cheaper rates.

The inn feels new. Stayed in a room that was spacious with a view of the yard and a fireplace, but no matches or wood were provided so it is possibly ornamental. There is no kettle in the room and no real common area outside of the room, as the lone room with a fireplace is also the a restaurant . Staffing is very thin. When a fire alarm went off at 3am there was no one on staff available to turn off the alarm and let in the fire department. We ended up letting in the fire department and resetting the alarm. There was no apology from the inn, or any offer to compensate when we communicated this at the end fo the stay. Our message communicating this was ignored.

Sugar Maple Inn I hosted a 50th birthday party for my husband at Sugar Maple Inn and I would give it the highest possible recommendation for a private event or a Southern Vermont getaway. The event space is gorgeous, so warm and inviting, an authentic Vermont feel. The food and drinks were incredible. The owners and event manager, Lauren, were fabulous to work with throughout the planning process and the event. They were flexible, patient, responsive, generous and open to ideas. It felt like planning an event with friends. The cost was exactly what they said it would be with no hidden or surprise charges. And if you have the opportunity, spend the night in the inn. They have done such a great job renovating the entire inn. Each room has so much character and custom wood pieces. The property offers beautiful and peaceful outdoor spaces as well. Our guests have not stopped talking about all of it. And we all hope to return soon!

What a pleasant surprise! The Sugar Maple Inn is absolutely lovely. It had everything that is important to me and more: Impeccably clean and charming, newly renovated, light & bright, homemade furniture, VERY comfortable bed, soft white sheets that don't smell of chlorine (big!) filtered water available, refrigerator in the rooms, living plants in common areas as well as in the rooms, a lush green lawn and flowing creek with seats to sit and enjoy it under a canopy of trees. The restaurant wasn't open yet, but I knew before hand and brought some snacks and hot cereals. Highly recommend the suite on the ground floor (Room 106, I believe?) as it has a porch overlooking the lawn, and a big fluffy, super cozy rocker inside the window

Brand new place. Vintage feel. Most Furniture hand made by carpentry shop on site. Bubbling brook Vermont mountains and peaceful scenery on grounds. Service 5 stars innkeeper stayed up for us. Didn't retire for the night till he made sure we had enough everything for our stay. My 4 children enjoyed premises immensely, still talking about it. Will definitely plan return trip soon.
