Island View Guesthouse

This property has a beautiful panoramic & breathtaking view of the ocean and St. Thomas Bay. It is close to downtown, and simply beautiful. The rooms are simply appointed and very clean. Libby is an excellent host, making guests feel like you're visiting their home. You'll be well taken care of at Island View Guesthouse. Delicious breakfasts also.

Such a fun experience! The onsite restaurant with a view makes it top notch! Chef Marshall and his lovely wife are such wonderful hosts we ate here 3 times in 24 hours. The wood fired pizza, Brussels Spouts and cheesecake donut are not to be missed if they are on the menu.

Rooms were clean and comfortable with a sleep number adjustable bed. Air conditioning, kitchenette with a microwave, and a refrigerator for some groceries and drinks rounded out a great room for our week’s stay. Beautiful views from open air restaurant that also overlooks the pool. Amazing hospitality and customer service from owners, Libby and Marshall and all of their staff! Honor bar with drinks and snacks round out this review which was both convenient and unique. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. The entire staff were helpful to point out places and give their own recommendations which we found useful. Hope we can visit again soon.

The Island View Steakhouse was fantastic and we were so happy to celebrate our anniversary there. Marshall the chef is fantastic! We enjoyed the slow braised lamb ragu and the wood fire whole roasted Branzino. Highly recommend!! We were fortunate enough that they just started up their lunch service. My wife enjoyed their Smoked Tomato “Caesar” salad while I loved their Filipino Lumpia Shanghai. Since I’m still going on about how great their food is, don’t sleep on their complementary breakfast during your stay. Great way to start your day in St Thomas. Hopefully you’re lucky enough to be there when they are serving their version of French toast. Again, so good! After getting bumped by American Airlines, we were set up in these accommodations. It was a pleasant surprise. A wonderful pool, an amazing restaurant (that I can can’t say enough about) and pleasant staff. The room was quaint, but accommodating that we were in however, there is a selection of different styles to meet your individual needs.

The restaurant was excellent and the staff and chef and his wife were super nice and very hospitable.

I would highly recommend The Island View Guesthouse! The rooms were clean and comfortable with a great bed and air conditioning!! The hospitality and customer service shown by the owners Libby and Marshall, as well as others on their staff (John and waitress Jessica) was impressive!! The views from the open air restaurant and pool area were beautiful!! The Island View Steakhouse was top notch!! Our dinner was one of our top 10 meals that we have ever had. Chef Marshall is an amazing chef!!

What an absolutely beautiful property! It has a very European vibe as you walk from the pool up to the restaurant. Views from the patio overlook the harbor and are beautiful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Property was very well kept with some updates to the paint recently added. I also cannot say enough about the owner and his wife. We arrived before our rooms were ready and asked about a place to go for lunch. (At the time we were there, the restaurant did not have a lunch menu). The owner/chef came out and said that he could make us something! He offered multiple options which were all amazing. We choose a focaccia bread turkey sandwich and a bolognese pasta dish. They were PHENOMENAL! The hospitality that was shown to us is not something you see often in today’s world. We would go back here 100 times!

The property had great views. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The views to the bay were wonderful. Getting up to the hotel is fairly difficult and it’s recommended that you rent a car to get there. Television and stations are very limited.
