Rura Raya Homestay

Located in a rural and peaceful spot that has open views to fields and the mountains. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and a special effort was made to cater for us as vegetarians. We were helped to find a laundry and hire a scooter as well as arranged a car to transport us to the night bus. A late check out and an additional dinner were offered and gladly accepted. A real relaxed place to enjoy at the end of our travels.

Compared to other properties it is pricey but well worth it. The location away from the main town may be a bit of a barrier. We were there on our own but can see how the space can be shared with others with no real issue.

Maison Intégrée dans un jardin de style toraja. Hôte souriante et bonne cuisinière qui s'adapte à nos goûts. Bouteilles d'eau à discrétion. Les chambres deluxe sont confortables. Préférable d'être en demi- pension car on est loin du village.

Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de piscine. Le lieu s'y prêterait bien. Lavabo petit dans la chambre au lit double.

Wij hebben genoten het bijzondere verblijf in een typisch Toraja huis! Onze gastvrouw was super vriendelijk en maakte heerlijke gerechten voor ons klaar. Een aanrader!!

Everything was awesome. The views are amazing, from the homestay you can see mountains, rice fields, beautiful sunrise. You have mosquito net on the bed, the bathroom is nice and clean and there is hot water. You also have access to cofee, tea and water. The owner is super friendly and she cooks delicious food. She also has a really nice cat that loves to cuddle (she takes really good care of him which is not that common in Indonesia:)). The homestay is only around 7 minutes by car from the city - you can just order cheap Grab ride. I highly recommend it!

The owner family was very kind and welcoming. The heritage house also provided a wonderful experience.

Fijn personeel en eigenaresse. Met gids met auto ideale plek. Wij zijn er 3 nachten verbleven.

Ver van stad

De gastvrouw is echt fantastisch!!! Ze kookt als de beste en zeer gevarieerd. Ook sprong ze op haar scooter om een verjaardagcake voor me te halen toen ze hoorde dat ik jarig was. Hoe lief is dat! Heerlijke warme douche en er non stop koffie/thee/water beschikbaar. De locatie ligt misschien wat verder van het centrum van Rantepao af, maar hierdoor heb je geen last van de geluiden uit de stad. Deze homestay is een enorme aanrader!

Als we dan echt iets moeten bedenken....;-) in onze kamer maakte de ventilator behoorlijke herrie als je deze op een hogere stand wilde zetten. Hierdoor hebben we m snachts amper kunnen gebruiken. Hou rekening met geluiden van het platteland, zoals hanen en blaffende honden, hier hebben wij geen last van gehad en heeft ook zo z'n charme.
