Lovely location and everything we needed

Bit of a smell in caravan but soon fixed with air freshener and window open a bit

Carvan was very comfortable and well equipped. Good location on the site, quiet and within walking distance of main hub.

Quiet location. Away from the busiest area

June 2024, self catering break. Ideal spot for travelling up and down the coast to see the sights. Haven site, all staff were very friendly and approachable. Caravan, was clean and well equipped with a balcony and seating. Walks around the lake and if you have young children loads of activities to keep them busy. A well maintained site. Would go there again in a heartbeat.

Location and site were excellent.

Chopstix ran out of food.

A plentiful space to stay to explore the East Coast. The use of Sky TV in the lounge made for better entertainment after a long day sightseeing.

Parking - be prepared to get your car splattered daily by the seagulls (to the point where we needed to wash it to be able to drive safely) The caravan would benefit from a deep clean. Whilst on the surface it appears satisfactory and masked by the use of strong plug in air fresheners, upon closer inspection, areas of the kitchen were covered in a layer of grease, and the sofa had quite a pungent whiff. We made an attempt to mop the floors upon leaving out of courtesy but the mop had seen better days and was probably dirtier than the floor we wanted to mop. We were offered the option to make the cleaners aware if we felt it necessary but these things were found gradually and the offer of a re-clean was upon arrival only. We had a slight issue with controlling the boiler for hot water for the shower and consequently had quick showers. Admittedly, we didn’t raise this during our 3 day stay and just dealt with it. We were disappointed to see how unkempt the site was, and the view of the lake we had was complete with sunken and broken pedalos and rubbish. The site could do with a huge upgrade however this is not a reflection of the van. Whilst we were not wholly unsatisfied during our stay, it isn’t somewhere we would return to. We didn’t sleep well due to the sound of the seagull dancing on our roof every morning at 3-5am, and again whilst this isn’t the fault of the van, we did feel that it could be proofed to prevent noise as it’s clearly a common problem given the sheer amount of the seagulls.

The caravan was lovely and had all the facilities you would need. Would absolutely stay again

One thing to change would be the bedding - I think it’s past its use by date now and smelled vaguely of feet which was a bit unpleasant.
