Hilltop Hut

Location is perfect. About 20 mins from Shrewsbury and an jour from Newport and Telford

Great location & stunning views.

Property was great had very steep steps which you wouldn’t want to fall, be carful there is a loose slab on the steps which is a bad hazard, but I have a bit of a gripe 😬 About the extra £30 charge for a tent which my mate stayed in, I’d allready paid the full amount for the hut for one person not two, I also see that the area of the hut ( is all for my use or rented ) didn’t think about the charge at the time until a friend pointed it out to me, my mate offered to camp on the same ground to keep an eye on me due to underlying health issues, which I did tell the owners, I know everybody needs to make a buck, but having all ready paid full price for solo I thought it rather cheeky ! Edit : in question to your reply about the steps firstly yes I agreed no problems, however in regards as to health & safety regarding the loose slab, it was myself that noticed it which could have been an accident ( fortunately not ) hence then why I chose the other route of steps ( not because I was told there was a loose slab ) ! When I first enquired about the hut & wires was crossed in me wanting to pitch a tent I have it here in message, “ you can pitch a tent if you like “ but no mention of money, Lastly FYI I did no the checking out times but we thought no one was coming that day also especially due to the weather, which then we was told at the very last minute “ new guests are coming “ which ruined the end of a good weekend tbh, anyone who has been camping before knows the whole headache of having to pack up a soaking wet tent etc, so we was not prepared due to the lack of communication, Had we have known we would have known, Last thing you want after a long weekend is to have to go home & set all your camping gear up again till it dries, so it was easier to bin it, It’s ok lesson learned, as I said my mate offered to over look my stay due to my conditions, which was very helpful of him, Whilst we’re on the topic of saddened, I didn’t get a thanks for the bacs 🙁

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. The host and accommodation was perfect in every way. Very kind freindly people. Amazing views of church stretton and the long mynd. Really nice little summerhouse and firepit. cumfy and very clean . Perfect location for local walks. It really does not get better this was such a perfect weekend away.
