Houseboat Moon of Kashmir

I selected this property because of the family atmosphere. The owner was quick to respond to my questions and always kept our comfort as the top priority. We felt treated as special guests always. our trip was memorable.

It’s not so much about the property- we had opted to experience the traditional Kashmiri culture and we loved the experience. The cleanup of the entire lake could use a little more attention by the government.

Lack of routine tidying and cleaning

Host (Gulzar) was awesome, polite, and was always there to help in every possible way. I recommend anybody coming to Kashmir to stay at his place and book his other services as well. He has a complete package to make your visit worthwile.

Behaviour of staff was very good, overall very good experience and definitely would recommend to friends and other people.

Rooms were spacious

Rooms and boat were not exactly same which are shown here in pictures, generally these boat owners have multiple boats under same name - like in this case Moon of Kashmir has 3 boats and depending on availability they will assign you any.

Nothing!...

absolutely disgusting, first of all they didn't provide us the actual moon of kashmir rather than they took us to another houseboat which was not upto the mark ... they completely cheated us ... secondly they gave us pathetic room, food quality was also extremely poor. Overall it was a horrifying experience
