We have 3 designated smoking areas. The garden area, the BBQ area, and the deck along the back of the motel. We ask that you make use of these areas so everyone has a pleasant stay. All rooms are nonsmoking. Ashtrays are provided and we ask that smokers take care to use them. Penalties will be charged to guests who smoke in rooms. I had a really pleasant stay here in Townsville. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very quiet, which made it easy to get a good rest. The location is great—convenient and close to everything I needed. Parking was also very easy, which I really appreciated. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe during my stay, which meant a lot to me. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay again.

"Senorita's over night stay"

Ground floor room. Check in was easy and he was very nice and welcoming. Beds were comfortable and linen looked and smelt clean. Decent size room. Actually had a designated smoking area that had seats and cover from elements. Something not a lot of places have any more so was suitably impressed. Requested an early check in and it was granted only to arrive later than the original check in time. So was relieved when the gentleman was super kind and understanding.. also approved my late checkout happily with no qualms. Thank you Spanish Lace front office.

Shower head was terrible. Pressure was there but did matter as the shower head squirted the water everywhere but down. Lol. At check out it was a lady I returned my keys to and she was far from friendly. Which is not something I am used to. The site declared to have free laundry facilities for guest only to find that you still needed to pay for the washing machine and only the dryer was free to use but I think the dryer I used was old and just about done with its life span as it took the whole night and next day to dry my washing. So I am super glad it was free to use.

The Room Folder was very well put together. Very informative and accurate. Excellent

Double Bed was uncomfortable for 2. Trowel but no detergent.

Easy check-in/out process, very clean room, quiet location, comfortable mattress.

Room a bit stuffy (no ceiling fan), power socket on one side of the bed only, water-saving shower head made it feel like showering in light mist (definately not a fan of these).

I like that the room was very clean and I really like that the laundry was free to use without charge

I didn't like having the key for the air-conditioning to stay on
