Jasri Bay Hideaway

The property was amazing. The expansive balconies were expertly designed with lounges and day beds offering different views of the expansive stretch of seas out in front. it’s the perfect environment to relax, connect with the family, read books and recharge. The staff were a wonderful bunch of people who would do anything to make our stay comfortable and they also provided a glimpse of local life and the local people.

Menu for lunch and dinner is quite good but when you ask the fish curry you have to pay extra for rice

Outdoor bathroom isn't all picture perfect as the wind is a constant there. So taking a bath is not fun,going to toilet at night isn't either. Mind that the locals know there is an outdoor shower and as the bushes don't provide enough privacy they might be watching you! Lucky my boyfriend saw them while I wanted to go for a shower! If you're afraid of bugs and tropical creatures be aware. We had big ants, small ones,spiders and lizards in our bedroom. Only two breakfast options and if you're not a fan of vegetarian it's only one option. Anything extra is paying extra (toast,juice,...) Fresh fruit is almost the same every day. It gets bored very quickly! Check your bill!!! I read previews reviews of costs being added and it was the same with us. Breakfast was supposed to be included,yet they tried to charge over 4 times breakfast extra! Not allot of privacy,safe to say we had none at all!! Either the manager kept passing by to inquire if all was good,or the staff for the pool(which was constantly) or the locals who came to take showers naked from the drainage while we were laying at the pool. Locals just enjoying our garden with no regards of it being private property! Not allot to do in the nearby area. Walking towards the water palace and the nearby beach bar (which is good!) Is all there is. Any activity is obviously paying extra. If you plan on staying don't stay longer then 3-4 days. You will get bored! Ocean waves were fun the first couple of night but after night 5 we were going insane from the noise! Manager asked us in the beginning of our stay to pay by bank transfer,despite we had booked through booking.com with our credit card. Very strange. When we said it would not be possible he suddenly remembered he had means for receive payment with visa ...

What a great place! We stayed in the villa with sea view for 5 nights and we would have loved to stay longer. It was by far the best experience we had in our journey through Bali. Breathtaking views just from the bed into the se and always that great sound of waves breaking just meters away from you. Huge terrace and delicious food. You can rent a scooter there for little money and the very friendly staff will do their very best to fulfill all your wishes. We were even lucky enough to watch seaturtles just from our terrace diving through the waves. Be sure to get that hot-stone massage and deep tissue massage from Nilo and Wayan! Worth every dime! We definetely recommend staying here!

Having to leave

We loved our stay at Jasri Bay Hideway. It was a great place to relax and unwind. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Stunningly beautiful location of the villa right on the beachfront. Authentic traditional Balinese villa with lots of charming spaces to rest. Gorgeous private pool.

Not a lot around in Jasri Bay to find alternative food. I got a bit sick of the one breakfast offering. And the evening meal had to be before 6pm when the staff went home! If you venture to the nearby resort they were kind enough to drop me back after dark when the beach was impassable and the winding dirt road in pitch black. It’s a long walk round otherwise. The ocean gets fierce at night: bring earplugs! I didn’t like being told after arrival that the property had recently been sold and was under new ownership. Also I was told on the second day I would have to pay cash or bank transfer despite having booked via Booking.com which they subsequently partially backtracked after I objected. They asked me to pay cash for the food and laundry! Really?! The bathroom is completely outside. It’s private but the shower has a pebble floor that makes it hard to stand on. The bath is like a small swimming pool!
