Kudu Safari Camp

The camp is on a prefect location on the river and most tents have river views. The tents are very comfortable and well designed with the feel of safari and confort. The food was fresh and tasty like home cooked food not the standard hotel food. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The pool area is the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon after a early wake up to see the animals

I wasn’t very clear that the camp Was outside the park but it’s very close and to the park area where most of the animals are. They don’t have a safari car so if you want to use their cars or guides you have to organize that in advance

Die Zelte sind absolut komfortabel und schön ausgestattet. Von dort und vom Pool hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Fluss. Das Personal ist unfassbar liebenswürdig. Aber wann gibt man volle Punktzahl??

Leider war das Frühstück recht schnell sehr übersichtlich, da die italienischen Gäste alles wegessen😅 WLAN wird auf Nachfrage umständlich durch die Gegend tragen und ist in den Zelten nicht verfügbar. Daher vermutlich nicht volle Punkte.

The staff were amazing - friendly, kind and helpful. We loved that the Masai were there to take you to your rooms after dark - and we felt really well looked after. The camp wasn’t busy when we were there so we felt even more looked after. A wonderful location and the pool looking over the river is so beautiful

Locatie

The website contact was completely unresponsive. Getting information regarding location, booking safaris was completely impossible. There was no response to emails or whatsapps on the number given on the website. The contact number was for a manager in Malindi. There was no contact provided for the manager on site. We were desperately trying to find the camp on our first night but nobody answered our calls. It was only when we got there did we get the phone contact of the manager on site. Why provide contacts for remote managers who do not respond? The food was pathetic. Lowest quality meat and badly cooked. The facility and location are amazing. The staff on site are very friendly and attentive. However will not visit again due to the remote unresponsive management and the very poor food

It was nice, just nowhere near worth the price tag.

Low water pressure, noise from a generator, very subpar food, no bed net so you get eaten by mosquitoes, "double bed" is two beds next to each other, could be cleaner. If the room was 50-100$ all of this would be acceptable, not for 500$+

Insufficient drinking water provided, I was given a 500ml bottle for a 2 night stay. All water provided or purchased was in small plastic bottles. I question the ‘eco’ credentials. Generally drinks were very expensive. I didn’t see a price list (although didn’t think to ask). The staff were lovely but overall it was a bit soulless. It felt like it had just been built but actually has been there for years. It maybe didn’t help that the main reception area was enormous and not very appealing. There were no comfy seats, nothing made you want to spend time there. The pool area was lovely but apart from the loungers, nowhere comfy to sit. My three recommendations would be 1. Sort the drinking water situation 2. Improve areas to provide comfortable seating, and 3. Add more landscaping to make the areas feel more connected to each other. Could be a great place but had a weird feeling to it.
