Cozzy Motel Malacca

I stayed in the hotel 6 nights in March 2024. Overall experience was less than average and it is hard to see how this place got a 6.9 score on booking.com Location: 1. the hotel is 10-15 minutes walking distance from the city center. 2. as opposed to the online advertisement, many of the hotel's rooms face a busy alley rather than an inner courtyard. scooters and motorcycles run constantly up and down the alley throughout days and nights, literally five meters away from the rooms. constant noise of roaring engines accompanies your stay in the hotel. Cleanennes and maintenance: I styed in two different rooms during my visit. Both were kept in very poor conditions: peeling paint and moldy walls, old & stained linens and towels, spider webs of one meter long hanging down from the ceiling. Overall feeling of neglectance and undermaintance is everywhere in the rooms. Facilities: No garden as such to be found in the premises of the hotel, in spite the online description: a row of plants next to the wall is hard to call a garden. Wifi is available only in the reception area, despite being indicated online as available in the rooms as well. AC and water gaiser worked ok in both of the rooms. There is a restaurant adjasten to the hotel. After three days of stay in the noisy room I asked to move to a room on the other side of the hotel, where rooms more quite. Had to pay extra in order to receive what I was ordering in the first place - a room facing an inner courtyard.
