"Back to bare bones, for the beautiful lake"

The lake location and the cano hire are awesome. It’s quite remote and therefore quiet, meditative almost.

The cabin has a few furniture items of acceptable state but the entire building inside and outside is run-down, worn out, and overdue by 2 decades. It is cleaned with care (and so did we), but broken locks (you don’t need any), broken kitchen cupboards, no shower (!), outdated everything, and then mice. We don’t mind going back to basics, but for these prices you’d expect a lot more. The receptionists were nice, and the atmosphere is positive, but all things considered, I have slept in run down youth hostels in developing countries with more class.
