Turtle Bay Eco Luxe Hua Hin

The resort was small but beautifully done. The room was very nice and had everything you needed. The staff were amazing, they did a really great job of making us feel welcome and were friendly and helpful. It was my wife's birthday and they surprised us with cake and signing her happy birthday to her... husband points for me! They really did a great job and made the experience really nice. The breakfast was delicious too. Best English breakfast I've ever had in Thailand.

Location is close walk to Sai Noi Beach and not far of a walk to Khao Tao Beach as well. This is a quieter area so plan ahead when thinking about transportation as there is Grab and local taxi services, but they aren't as readily available as in the city areas. Staff was helpful with taxi bookings. We liked the cute look of the place and we were very comfortable. There is an AC and fan depending on your preferences. Clean towels and water are provided daily, and cleaning services if requested. The staff was very kind and even reserved you a table for meals if desired. Portions for meals aren't huge, but that's a good thing because they fill you up and you're not overly full. Many tea, coffee, and drink options, as well as options for vegetarians. They have lots of dogs in the neighborhood, which can bark at certain times of day, and there is wildlife so be mindful you will be hearing birds and such. Not a critique just nature! It is a taste of nature right by the beach. A much need R&R after being in Bangkok., and we found this to be a lovely area that we would certainly come back to. Thanks to the staff for being accommodating when one of us was not feeling well when we first arrived. Also, go check out the reservoir for a nice walk. Local night markets are about 15-20 minutes away too, and are great things to do at night time to get out and about.

The setting was lovely! The little secluded pond and the architecture of the property was very serene. We ordered many different drinks, desserts, and food. Our favorite was actually the Thai tea and the mango sticky rice! The lilies on the water blossomed in the evening creating an even more beautiful scene. We also really appreciated the complimentary tea, dessert, and fruit which were unexpected.

We didn't realize that the restaurant would be so busy during the day! It was nice that Turtle Bay seemed so popular, but it was a little odd with our room so close to the restaurant. But the kitchen closes early, so this was not a problem in the evening. We were thankful for the complimentary items, but we wished that there was at least a discount on food/breakfast for those staying at the property.

The staff were so welcoming and the atmosphere there was lovely. The surroundings are very relaxing. The staff went out of their way on the last day when our pre-booked taxi didn't arrive and we were going to miss our bus back to Bangkok. They drove us 40 minutes to the bus station and we got there a few minutes before our bus departure. They really went above and beyond to help us.

The lodge looked exactly as in the photos. The service from the staff were great and so is the food! We were pleasantly surprised by the goodnight tea served to us on the first night of our stay.

There are many mosquitoes and thankfully, mosquito repellent was provided. I would have spent more time sitting outdoors to enjoy the scenery if not because of the mosquitoes. The room can get quite warm in the daytime even with the air conditioning.

No flaws

Honestly, everything… this place is a hidden gem, the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and generous. I’ve been in Thailand for over a month now and this was my best stay yet, 5 minute walk to what I consider the best beach in Hua Hin and there’s a local restaurant right between the hotel and beach that makes AMAZING meals on a budget… however the hotel also has amazing food which is presented so well. The best part for me was that I slept so well here, the room was super clean and comfortable and the bathroom feels like it’s own apartment. I will absolutely be coming back next month!
