Boutique Suite #2

I am handicapped and having difficulty walking.. I chose this property as the photos indicated all units at ground level (i.e. no stairs) However Suite #2 had some stairs unlike all other units. The facility was located on the main highway and too far from the beach. When I arrived I had not received the access code as requested before my departure from Windsor and could not gain access. Another guest had to contact property manger to receive code 45 minutes after my arrival. Poor customer service. Excessive cleaning fee for such a small unit

Proper description of location and size of unit. Described as queen when it was a small studio. No electrical outlets or counter space for small appliances (i.e. toaster)

The location was great. Only a minute walk from the beach. The unit was clean and looked new. It had almost everything we needed, from an iron to kitchen stuff, barbecue, etc.

There were no closets. I wish there was some sort of vacuum cleaner available. There always were too many insects right behind the entrance door and also too many spider webs around the exterior light, which indeed helped reduce the insects! But I wish an insect killer was installed in place of the spiders! Finally, the shower water got cold once in the middle of a shower.

The availability of everything you need in a small space was good. The utilization of every corner is done to an excellence. Availability of kitchen was good. Heating/cooling options were good.

The barbeque was super dirty and was not in a usable condition (there was a wasp with eggs inside). It looked like it has never been cleaned. The place was too small for a family of 4 (they should not show this option as suitable for more than a couple or a couple with a small baby). One suggestion to property owners- please put a stopper in the bathroom sink and a strainer in the kitchen sink.

The fireplace was nice. Close to Blue Mountain.

The property was not clean, despite the speech about hiring great contractors. There was hair found throughout the unit, and on the “new” bedding, body hair in toilet and urine on the seat. Because it was a pet friendly unit the room really smelt like dog. After noticing this it made us really question the true cleanliness of the property. The unit is creaky, trees rubbing against the roof, toilet water constantly running, and noisy from the main road. Also, because we let the host, Dan, know about what we found when we got there he assured us in an email, that we still have, that we would get our cleaning fee back… since then, after almost a half dozen texts/emails he has yet to do so. I should also note, Dan specifically told us not to leave a review after our first phone conversation about the amount of hair found and pre-existing broken sink cupboard we found when we arrived.

The room was absolutely beautiful. The place was well decorated and fresh looking, with everything you need, from a complete kitchen, fireplace, dining table, big screen television, nice size deck outside and a large gas BBQ. We even took advantage of one of the corn hole Games on site. In fact, it was better than the Western Harbour Castle, that I stayed in while in Toronto a few weeks ago, and a steal, at one third of the price. And the beach was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely come back in the summer for a longer stay, and take advantage of the beautiful sandy beach.
