Pico da Vigia

Beautiful location, almost at the edge of the island. There are 5 houses on this property, but spread out quite a bit. There's something enchanting about feeling so remote. The absolute highlight, though, was the delivery of fresh bread placed through a small window in the kitchen each morning. The food was generous and included cheese, fruit, bacon, eggs, beer (!) that was restocked each day.

The bedroom and its bathroom are separated by a large glass panel that allows a direct view of the toilet from the bath. I understand the attempt at trying to do something unique but this is a failure of design. Would highly recommend that the glass is covered with some sort of frosted overlay that still allows light through but obscures the bath. The house has two baths and the other is very functional, two baths are really not necessary.

Pretty much everything. This place was awesome The houses were super comfortable and airy. They had air conditioning which was useful and rare on the Azores. The view was great. The night birds calling were crazy. Breakfast was lovely and extensive. The pool was lovely and clean. It was just a few minutes from great swimming/snorkeling at Cincos Ribeiras. It was about 15 minutes from Angra.

It was a little bit hard to find and the check in and check out procedure was a little unclear through booking.com.

Everything! Great place, remote, incredible view. Nicely and tastefully refurbished. Big room with lots of space. Light due to all the windows. And everything that often bothers me in hotels does not exist! Enough closets and drawers, big shower, nice and plenty of towels. I loved the little kitchen where we could prepare our little breakfast, the time we wanted! And everything was there: good coffee, milk, eggs, ham, cheese, … And very friendly staff. Sure one of my top places.

You'll live surrounded by nature, right by the ocean. The place is easy to get to: no surprises. It’s farmhouse, but stylish. For example, a wooden ceiling, a vintage closet and a real stove next to a concrete loft-style floor. Towels and bedding were really clean. Cleaning was done daily. You don't have to wash the dishes. The most amazing thing is that you will have fresh bread every morning before you wake up! And Alexandra, the owner, is constantly in touch. She is a caring, kind and unique woman who will solve any issue. This place, probably, will not suit those who are used to vacationing in hotels. A lot off people, music, everyone relaxes by the pool, the staff walks around. And for those who wants that everything will be at their fingertips. You have to drive to the supermarket, restaurants, too. About 5-10 minutes by car. For the rest of us, this place is absolutely worth it! Highly recommended!!

A wonderful place to stay in Terceira that I can’t recommend enough. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and so much space to make your own during your visit. Our unit had a working kitchen with fresh food and drinks from the island that was stocked daily. It is very private which is exactly what we were looking for. Alexandra is also amazing and gave us a list of recommendations during our stay. It is on the opposite side of the island from the airport but only a 35 minute drive so it is quite easy to get to any town or attraction you want. If we ever make it back this is where we will stay.

one of the most beautiful places I ever stayed . From the amazing and warm check in , the house ( no words to describe how beautiful ) , a complete and generous breakfast that is replaced everyday . There’s nothing to say , except good things . is a must to go and stay in terceira .
