Tarantula Ranch Campground & Vineyard near Death Valley National Park

The house is great and it was my 3. time there, the outdoor shower and the colors are really nice!

The owner allowed late check out 12, replying no problem. Asked for due to my accident when getting there, hospital treatment needing changing padding on open cuts. However, when I wrote it took longer than expected he replied just minutes before 12, that we had to be out 12 sharp and was at the door threatening and basically saying "get the F out now or..". I was in bed with the open cut while my husband was to treat the wound. He left me to gather all our belongings and talked very apologizing and polite to the bully owner. I did my best to strip the cut together and put on bandage, getting really nervous half dressed unable to move. Having the guy standing over me, telling me I took advantage of him and quarreling. I said I would get out sooner if he left me to finish up and asked if he wanted to fight. He said he did not want us back. We flee at 12:10. I am a genius level 3 renter and we are experienced hosts. I have never experienced anything negative from owners before despite decades as a frequent traveller. At the property we checked out of only days before the review wrote we were A+ renters and when we have guests with issues we start the cleaning while they prepare to leave, that is what we understand by service and how we enjoy our guests company. I will not dare going back here despite having planned to, and definitively not alone. So just want to warn others to be prepared. There are 2 cats around that were difficult to keep out of the house and the car, taking time too and one ate a mouse just outside the front door. Heaps of flies. We oversaw that till we were "attacked" by the angry "host". I am sorry, but no more Amargosa for us, we will keep to regions more matching our idea of human relations.

Einfach ein Traum, die Camper sind super sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das ganze Camp ist schön angelegt und lässt einen sofort wohlfühlen. Die Winehall bietet gute Möglichkeiten sich etwas zu essen warm zu machen in der Mikrowelle ggf. Auch noch was zu kaufen sollte man nichts dabei haben und man kann sich dort gemütlich zusammensetzen. Es gibt auch Tischtennis. Die auf dem Camp lebenden Katzen sind wirklich sehr sozial und folgen einem gerne 😅 Der Sternenhimmel bei Nacht ist wunderschön, wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

It was very unique setup where we got to see clear night sky before going to bed and see a beautiful sunrise in the morning just from our trailer. The kitchen was super functional and along with the wine hall where you could get some supplies, this was amazing!

I just wished we had proper heating inside the trailer as what we had was getting turned off on its own without reaching the set temp :/ The space inside the trailer was super tiny, so you should only get in when you are ready to sleep.

The cats were so welcoming and made it such a fun experience. We also loved the game room.
