Dargaville Motel

We received a harty welcome, some Kauri seed, lesson and fresh milk for the first coffee. He even came back later with information on a general remark I made while booking in. Will definitely go back again

The toilet space are a bit tight.

The location was great and the parking was good . The staff are friendly and the place is quite clean and if you like looking at the river view then it's great.

Breakfast is not included only a small jug of milk which would be more hygienic if it was a small carton of milk. The beds were ok but pillows were quite flat. Tv very small and wifi was only available sitting outside. But for cost it was probably expected especially if you want simplicity. Would be better if the decor was updated to reflect the times we found it funny to see a telephone on the wall and no couch and a very 70s decor through out.

Location was fine, with a view of the river but note, it's near the road.

The motel is old but that's no need for it being dirty. Dust and spider webs, fridge inside and outside not clean, dirty fingerprints on all light switches and so on.

The owner was very pleasant.

Having a microwave and more comfortable furniture. The cleanliness was not up to scratch. Not up to health and safety requirements eg. hot water tap temperature was scalding. The unit was very out dated.
