Riverton Holiday Park

Not much really the view was great I booked and paid for 4 nights from Monday the 20/04/26 until Friday the 25/04/26 but we had to get back to Christchurch on the 23/04/26 and I thought I would have been given a refund for the night which we didn't stay because it was an urgent family matter.

The staff were not very welcoming there was no camp shop where you could get the basics such as bread and milk and canned beans etc.

We were pleasantly surprised with this great holiday park. Welcome was excellent- very friendly and helpful. The room was simple but had everything you would need, with a very comfortable king sized bed, and the bathroom was large and spotlessly clean with a hot shower with excellent water pressure! We arrived late so didn't get to look around all the facilities, but had a lovely Seafood Chowder dinner by recommendation at the Beach Cafe, a very good sleep, and then up at dawn to start the Hump Ridge Track.

It was fantastic. I couldn't fault it for the price point and set up.

no staff on duty and when I called on the phone there was no answer

I loved the location, views of the ocean and proximity to trails. Accomodation itself was super clean and had everything you need. Very helpful staff.
