If you’re looking for the perfect boat to explore the San Blas Islands, stop searching — this is it. Sailing with Paul and Daniela aboard Play to Live was the trip of a lifetime — one we’ll never forget. From the moment we stepped on board, they made us feel completely at home. They’re warm, generous, and truly passionate about what they do. The food was unforgettable. Daniela made delicious meals — pasta, handmade pizza, fresh salads — and we devoured everything she made. And Paul’s pancakes? One morning, with a palm-covered island in the background and coffee in hand, we had tears of joy. It was that perfect. Paul is an incredible captain — experienced, making us feel safe every step of the way. Together with Daniela, they took us to quiet, untouched islands with no crowds, just pure natural beauty. They shared fascinating stories about the Kuna people and their way of life, which made every stop even more special. We snorkeled over vibrant coral reefs, swam with stingrays, and even learned a bit about sailing. In the evenings, we sat under a sky filled with thousands of stars. Being the only guests on board made it feel like a completely private experience. Paul and Daniela tailored the trip to us, making sure we had the best time — even when we found ourselves dancing around on the boat in pure joy. If you want to disconnect, experience nature, eat amazing food, and be guided by two genuinely amazing people, Play to Live is the perfect choice. Amazing couple Paul and Daniela touring us around for three days with incredibly nice food from both , lots of stories and a unique itinerary to also see the non tourist areas! We met local kunas , snorkeled , swam and went to the nicest bar on one of the islands

The trip to San Blas is an adventure :-) and the water was wet ( inside joke from Paul )

Daniella and Paul were wonderful hosts. They were both excellent sailors, knew the islands really well and took us to all the best snorkeling reefs. They were also both excellent cooks; Paul making delicious pancakes and French toast for breakfast and Daniella (from Italy!) making amazing homemade pizza and pasta - the later served with lobsters purchased from the Kuna (Guna) fishermen who came to our sailboat with live lobsters for sale in the bottom of their dug-out canoe. Paul and Daniella were also friends with many Kuna and knew all about their culture and society. We purchased beautiful "Mola" from an elderly Kuna woman who came on the boat with her family. They made sure that we had a perfect 4 days and we feel that we saw most of the islands. We were also blessed with perfect weather although I have heard it can rain in San Blas.

At first sight the boat looks older but it an extremely well designed and built boat with good cabin and outside space and it sails really well. Another wonderful thing about the sailboat is that it makes its own water so you can drink as much as you want (they also had soda and beer) and plenty for showers. Some boats only have water tanks so fresh water is limited. Of course, with any sailboat you have to deal with a "pump-out" toilet (head) - just to let you know if you have never been on a sailboat before (yes even the big sailboats - unless you are Jeff Bezos!).

- San Blas is just like a dream - crystal clear water and white beaches 😊 - Paul and Daniela are extraordinary hosts that make you feel welcomed right from the beginning - They make the best out of your stay by showing you magnificent places around San Blas: snorkeling at fantastic reefs, showing lonely islands, meeting local Kunas,… - Food is really great (italian pizza or pasta & banana pancakes for breakfast) - They make sure that everything is organized right in time even of the process to getting to San Blas is a Special one. This stay is highly recommended as this is a once in a lifetime experience!! Really the best Part of our Panama trip 😊

Nothing- Everything was Perfect :)

- Boat is well equipped, clean and capable of reaching places not accessible to others - Daniela makes delicious food - Captain Paul is a experienced sailer, and we feel safe during entire journey - The athomespehre was great, we had impressions of staying with family on holiday :) Thank you for excited our expectation. It is very hard to describe the places we visited, stunning and breathtaking. Imagine that you are waking up every morning and you can see the vue from the windows wallpaper from the Caribbean with the good cup of coffee.

There's nothing what we didn't like

Our stay with Paul and Daniela on Play to Live was by far one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Not only is San Blas a very very special place, Paul and Daniela go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and show you the real life at sea. Not to mention how amazing the food was. Daniela is an amazing cook and Paul makes the best pancakes! It was a real adventure where - in four days time - we got to experience so much different weather. From a little rain to beautiful sun and amazing sailing winds. Paul planned our days spontaneously based on the weather conditions. We appreciated his enthusiasm and knowledge and felt safe at all times. Paul and Daniela have been living in San Blas for some time and have taken the interest and time to connect with the local people and culture. They have shared their knowledge with us which we are very grateful for. We can’t wait to reconnect with them in the future and laugh till it’s dark. If you’re up for an adventure, this is the place to be!

The 3-Day sailing trip with Daniela and Paul was definitely the highlight of our 3 week vacation in Panama! Daniela and Paul make sure that you enjoy every second you spend in San Blas. Here’s a list of our highlights, which was basically everything :) * Snorkeling in beautiful coral reefs (gear provided by Dani & Paul) * Sailing through San Blas (Paul is an absolut sailing lover - he will teach you everything you want to know and let’s you drive as well) * White sand and turquoise water on all little islands (Daniela and Paul take you to different spots in San Blas, where you also get to know locals) * Amazing food (Daniela makes fresh and super tasty Lasagne, Pasta and Pizza and Paul is responsible for the most delicious pancakes) * Story time with Daniela and Paul (after spending several years on a sailing boat, it’s amazing what they got to tell) We can absolutely recommend booking your San Blas trip with Daniela and Paul. It’s for sure the best all-around trip in San Blas!! As an add-on, here are some things you might consider: * San Blas is in the middle of nowhere - there is no Wi-Fi or cellphone signal * Transportation might be rough (4x4 jeep to the harbor and 1 hour water taxi) - Daniela and Paul make sure that the transportation is organized smoothly! * Living on a sail boat in San Blas means you are dependent on food delivery by the locals (Dani cooks delicious meals no matter what :) ) * Consider talking to Dani and Paul beforehand if they need anything on the boat (there is no reliable delivery service and you might be able to help them a lot)
