Camping Pods, Marlie Holiday Park

The staff and people were all lovely and kids entertainment was great!

Prices in the restaurant and bar were very expensive. For that reason if I came again, I’d probably do a caravan so we could cook for ourselves and have our own drinks. It was Easter when we stayed and the entertainment seemed to vary compared to what was on the timetable. We had no idea they had a fun day on for example. We also booked and paid for activities which weren’t taking place because of the timetable.

Pool shower was very very cold .

Hot water in the shower and good water pressure. There were hairdryers in the ladies bathroom too. The pod had good heating.

There were a few things: The double bed in our pod was infested with bed bugs or fleas. With pets permitted we think the pods needed a major clean to eliminate the bugs! The main venue where we went to play bingo in the evening and the toilets closest to the pod area both had overflowing toilets and plumbing issues. The main bingo area also had no toilet paper in the ladies toilets... when reported to a member of the team she didn't seem bothered about it and it seemed as she had already been told about it. We found a table to play bingo - the table was filled with rubbish from the previous users, a member of staff came by a took one wine glass off the table and left the the other glasses and rubbish on the table... The dish wash bay area for pods had no bins. Any food left on plates being washed had nowhere to be thrown away. Our Pod was a long way from the toilets and the route very poorly lit. There is no water taps in the pod area should you need water for coffee or rinse a dish...you needed to take the long walk to the toilet area for water. The www for the place needs an update... it was last done pre covid so when looking online to see what we needed to take there was not much information. When we contacted by email we got no reply.

Very minor, the front door wouldn't close smoothly and kept getting snagged.

We liked the pod, and the site as a whole. To the point we are thinking of buying a caravan down there

There was nothing not to like
