McClure Yurt at Carrigeen Glamping

Lovely quiet and peaceful setting. Perfect for a short break to totally relax. Lovely energy in the yurt. The breakfast was a lovely touch and there were even some chocolates and flowers in the room on arrival.

It was a little chilly but thats just down to the time of year.

Jimmy was very welcoming, lovely Irish farm experience. The ping pong table was a lovely addition and we enjoyed playing a game. It wasn’t very far from Kilkenny city which was also a positive. It was a lovely Glamping site except for my experience.

This property should not be open to the public during the winter, we had a small heater that didn’t do much for the cold and 3 hot water bottles to try warm up the bed. We debated leaving for awhile because we had an over an hour journey with the frost, unfortunately we came to the decision that we had to leave at 1am in the morning as we just couldn’t sleep with how cold it was. This is extremely unfortunate. I messaged the owner just to give her the heads up that we weren’t there anymore as I didn’t want them to waste their time making the breakfast or leaving it out when we weren’t there, all I got bad was sorry to hear this. No compensation was offered or even come back another time.
