Duncan Motel

The motel is a small family run business. We stayed there because we live on the north island and to drive back and forth from Victoria in one day is too much for us. The price of a room in Victoria was over $100.00 more for the cheapest alternative. The motel is a block from the highway and all we need is a quiet comfortable place to sleep before moving on. That is what we got.

Although no fault of the motel, this part of Duncan itself seems to have lots of homeless folks wandering about. Not a place I would want to spend much time exploring.

This motel is reasonably priced, especially during a busy weekend. It also lies right in the middle of Nanaimo and Victoria, making it convenient to drive around for visitors.

This is just a motel, so restrain the expectations on the services/amenities provided. The unit is not very sound-proof, especially for the design where two units are right adjacent to each other and sharing an entrance. A proper table is also missing in the room, making many activities harder.

Super helpful staff, issue with the TV and they came and swapped it out. Provided a kettle upon request. Deceiving from the outside but rooms are really well done up inside

Looks like an old motel on the outside but inside has been recently refreshed and was great.
