Why Not Houseboat

Why not houseboat was one of my all time favorite travel experiences. The staff were lovely and the small boat tour was a highlight.

Having now seen the rest of the vessels in the area I think we had the best, most comfortable, boat

The boat was clean and in great condition, especially compared to others on the dock.

The best houseboat we saw in our 2 day trip , such a fabulous couple of days of pure luxury and indulgence! Our captain and chef were the best and totally spoilt us. Vineesh took great pride in his boats and looking after his guests, definitely worth going 2 nights as takes you away from the throng of day trippers from allepey , and being the only guests on the boat made it even more personal.

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit auf dem Why Not Houseboot in Kerala! Das gesamte Team war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend – man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet – frisch, abwechslungsreich und typisch für die Region. Die Kabinen waren sauber, gemütlich und mit bequemen Betten ausgestattet, perfekt zum Entspannen nach einem Tag auf den Backwaters. Besonders schön: Auf individuelle Wünsche wird gern eingegangen, am besten vor der Abfahrt kurz besprechen – dann wird alles perfekt vorbereitet. Ein rundum großartiges Erlebnis, das wir wärmstens weiterempfehlen können!

Great houseboat - the upstairs deck is great as you can sit at either the front or back and watch the world float by. Better layout than most boats we saw. Crew were excellent and the food was fantastic and so much. Highly recommended!

Nothing - it’s a great choice.

We happened to have our 2 day trip with some friends who booked late which made the trip extra special. I would recommend the 2 days as we were able to go further into the lakes and our first night was magical. Second day we were taken on a canoe trip into the smaller canals which again was truly special. Birdlife was incredible, food was delicious and plentiful. Staff were lovely friendly and v attentive.

Our houseboat was clearly the nicest one on the water. The roof weaving was very intricate, the lounge area was spacious and had beautiful furniture, the room and amenities were lovely. Our captain Sujeesh was incredible - friendly, helpful, very skilled in driving the boat. We had a fun stop at a fish market and took a small boat through the narrower canals at golden hour. The chef was amazing, it was a huge feast every time, and we loved the vegetables at lunch and the shrimp at dinner the most. It was a highlight of our trip, we wish we stayed longer.
