Sandcastle Motel Tin Can Bay

The owner was very nice and accommodating. He waited for us since we arrived late and even had the Airconditioning turned in our room for our comfort. He gave us very nice tips about activities close by. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the beds were comfortable and we were able to make coffee and tea since there was a water kettle along with coffee, tea and milk available in the room. In addition, there was a fridge and dishes and cutlery in the room. The location is good if you don’t mind driving 10-15 minutes off the highway to sleep in a quiet and comfortable room! I highly recommend this motel.

Shower pressure was good. Bed needed to have a mattress topper as was uncomfortable. Room temperature was automatically set to about 24 degrees and could not be changed, so not pleasant. Tiles were missing in the bathroom. No Wifi was available and no restaurant on site - as was advertised.

No Wifi, No Restaurant on site, and was apparently walking distance to clubs - not true unless you wanted a 30 min walk to the Country Club. Very dated and needs maintenance. Pool was certainly not inviting.

Rooms are old school with key required to provide power to room, which means when you’re out for the day you don’t have a working fridge (food spoiled that I purchased for dinner). Facilities are very run down but at least clean. Motel is strictly no pets however there was a family living on-site with dog? The pool is tiny (not accurate from the photos)

Great value for money, clean, pleasant pool area, lovely staff.

No breakfast, as the stay was comfortable & convenient at the time of travel at a reasonable rate.

Nothing to mention, was only an overnight stay.
