Canting Bali Suite by The Travel Ubud Bali

The best thing about this property is the staff who is super nice.

The first night I wasn’t able to sleep due to loud music. I asked to switch rooms the next morning, was told they’d check but I didn’t hear back. By the second day the room smelled like sewage the whole time. I asked to switch rooms again, was told they’d check but I didn’t hear back. By the third day I told them I’m checking out because I can’t stay in this room. That’s when they finally changed my room.

Great location, surrounded by rice paddies. Just 12 minutes from Ubud. Staff were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the pool, the view from my large balcony and the wifi was more than adequate. Grab delivered some delicious local food. I would recommend Canting Bali Suite without hesitation.

The restaurant across the road over charged me, twice. Unusual for Bali. And Grab kept delivering to the back of the hotel, which was a nuisance. But I don't blame Canting Bali Suite for either of these minor inconveniences.

Between the construction and outside noise first thing in the morning we ended up cutting our stay short. Also advised that works would be 8-4 however this would be on going till 7:30pm some times.

The hotel is good, the rooms are clean. Very quiet place, only 20 minutes to the city center. Nice staff. The construction on the territory greatly spoiled our stay. From morning to evening the noise of the construction spoiled everything. We could not enjoy our rest on the territory of the hotel and had to leave for the whole day, although we wanted to relax and lie by the pool. We were warned at the reception when we arrived.

The villa I booked was very clean and comfortable.

They were building a new set of units 1 metre from my villa. The noise from 8am-5pm was ridiculous. I had to leave after one night and they refused to refund me any money. They offered me to move, but the noise would have been exactly the same. 🙄 Also the location is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. They didn’t have a restaurant and there was only 1 place close by to eat.

The construction noise and the paddle sport court noise during the day. The wall was also falling off from mold or humidity in some spots… but otherwise absolutely amazing place.
