Bali Marina Villa's - Amed

It is a stunning, beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed every bit of it:

The place was simply exceptionally beautiful—a little paradise. The staff is so incredibly friendly and accommodating. We really felt well taken care of. The location, cleanliness, and food—everything was just perfect. We highly recommend it to anyone staying in Amed. Ideally, you should rent a scooter from the accommodation to explore the area properly.

Every single thing. Outstanding value for money,location and resort setting. Kadek and his staff could not have done more to make our trip comfortable and memorable. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the lush garden was a treat. The snorkeling across the road was good with plenty of coral and fish life. Snorkeling in all the recommended spots was surprisingly good considering the number of boats and general living activity along the shoreline. It’s a credit to the local people that coral close to the shore has not been trashed. Getting around on motor bikes was safe and easy as there was little traffic on very good roads.

Not a thing …..should have stayed longer.

l’intimité. 3 logements, dans une verdure luxuriante. Une équipe à la cuisine talentueuse. Tous nos sens ont été activés. Kadek et Made et tous les autres. gede le chauffeur attitré passionnant. Et même le sunset point bar à côté est un lieu surprenant si vous arrivez à sortir de votre logement où l’on est si bien. Allez faire du snorkling dans les plages environnantes, facile en scooter.

The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us organize scooter and transport. Breakfast was lovely, every morning on our balcony overlooking the garden and ocean.

The road noise gets a bit noisy at times.

Great atmosphere and hospitality. A refreshing pool with nice views right in front of the room.

Een prachtig huisje in een kleine jungle. Het heerlijke zwembad wordt gedeeld door 3 huisjes, maar wij hebben het elke dag voor onszelf gehad. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben een scooter via het hotel geboekt en die was prima. Lekker ontbijt.

Als je de straat oversteekt kan je direct naar het strand lopen. Dit strand is wel minder fijn. Voor een goed strand is het enkele km's rijden.

Met by friendly reception staff. Offered a welcome drink and offered to have someone help carry our bags up. Explained details of tours etc available via the hotel. View from room was as shown on photos.

Listing photos were not clear that there are 90 steps to the villa. Cut out stone steps, uneven heights, with no hand rail. "Restaurant" advertised is in an open air reception patio, right off a busy road. Scooter and car exhaust, plus noise. There is no AC in 'dining room'. Villa had AC, but it it poorly placed to blow across the entrance - mosquito netting keeps the cool air from getting to the bed. The bath room is COMPLETELY open air - not just the shower. It was like walking into a sauna, and of course there were bugs (spiders, flying bugs and centipedes). The room was HOT - I sat for a few minutes to see if the AC would cool it down and the only place that felt cool was a chair in front of the door. We decided to leave. We knew it was non-refundable, and were ok with losing our money. Our driver arrived, and the manager must have called the 'owner' - for when I got down the stairs, she was on the phone wanting to talk to me. She started by berating me, threatening to call her lawyers and asking why I terrorized her nice Balinese employees. I said I did no such thing, I told them I knew it wasnt refundable, but we were leaving anyway. I didn't raise my voice or do anything to them. She was FURIOUS that I said the villa wasnt as expected. Ranted at me, until I handed the phone back to the manager and said, I don't have to listen to this. It was a very upsetting experience as she was 100 % focused on her review rate and didn't want me to give a poor review. I said I would give an honest review so that people like us (travelers in our 60's, who are experienced and expect a listing to match what is presented, not just the 'pretty parts') could be fully informed. We expected functioning AC, an indoor bathroom, a reasonable number of stairs (not 90 steps at more than a 45 degree angle with no railing).
