Jnane Karma

Riad Jnane el karma was my very first accommodation in Morocco and I couldn't have wished for anything nicer or more cozy. The airport transfer to Imlil went smoothly. I was given a warm welcome and had a beautiful room with a view that I’m still missing. As solo traveller/ hiker, I also really appreciated being able to discuss my planned day hikes beforehand. +Make sure to have dinner here, too: the best (veggie) tagines I had during my trip!

We had a confirmed reservation and drove 400km to Imlil expecting a normal stay. What happened instead was exhausting, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. 1) The location is misleading The property is not where the map pin shows. We only found out after arriving. We then had to walk 16 minutes to the real location, carrying heavy bags across uneven rocky ground, slipping hazards everywhere. This is dangerous and absolutely not accessible for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues, and it is not clearly mentioned on the listing. 2) Immediate hygiene red flags The moment we entered, it didn’t feel clean or prepared for guests. Dust in multiple places, spider webs, and even food crumbs/leftovers in the hall (couch + floor). The bathroom was disgusting, and to make it worse, there was no water. 3) The most shocking part: privacy intrusion Instead of a normal check-in, we were kept waiting and then asked for marriage proof beyond our ID cards… and even requested to show personal wedding photos. We explicitly told him these are private, and reminded him no other accommodation has ever asked us for anything like this. We warned him clearly. He still insisted. 4) Refused the stay, stranded at night After all of this, we were refused accommodation and had to drive another 150km last minute just to find somewhere else. This was not hospitality. Avoid this place. Update: The host’s public response includes insulting language such as “Thank you for your lies”. This is unprofessional and does not reflect respectful hospitality. The facts above remain accurate...

Rien , mal organisée , ils doivent apprendre de ne pas mentir sur booking , et mentionner leurs conditions sur leurs page et le personnel n’est pas au top , en plus ce n’est pas facile pour l’accès

The doors and windows should be properly sealed as the cold came through these and it was hard to warm up the room. Also the curtains railing on the window was broken and curtains weee so low that it was touching your face while you are sleeping

Accueil chaleureux et établissement très mignon, comme sur les photos avec une magnifique vue sur les montagnes depuis notre chambre ou la terrasse sur le toit !! Le petit déjeuner est servi avec pain, msemen, oeufs dûrs, confiture, thé/café ou lait.

Le personnel formidable et la vue fantastique. Les repas étaient très bons.

Le plus beau Riad d’imlil. La vue sur les montagnes est incroyable. Mohamed nous a proposer de nous faire à dîner, c’était tout simplement excellent. Meilleur tagine que nous avons mangé depuis notre arrivée au Maroc. Pour ceux qui voyage en été, l’air climatiser fonctionne très bien et la piscine est très rafraîchissante.
