The owner, an Japanese couple, are so lovely and they take care of you :) The in-house onsen is great. The breakfast is very good. Beds and rooms have the old Japanese flair, which I loved.

Sometimes it was a little bit cold in the building, but that’s nothing an additional sweater can’t solve.

The hospitality was amazing. I would stay here again and again, mainly the staff, the value for money was over the moon. It was brilliant

The men’s bathroom downstairs might have smelled a little funny but I just wasn’t used to it.

Mr and Mrs Iguchi were wonderful hosts who took great care of us.

Mama and Papa our Hosts at the Roykan could not do enough for us during our stay Our room with two comfortable small beds had lots of storage space and a nice sitting area to unwind in after a day of skiing The private onsen was hot but very relaxing to sit in and the wash up area after the onsen left you feeling sparkly clean Papa was always ready to drop you off or pick you up .Awesome shuttle service that never let us down Older Roykan but was tastefully decorated in Japanese culture Compared to other places we stayed at for our ski holiday this one was the most economical and we left feeling very satisfied Would recommend to anyone that wants to spend time in a real Japanese atmosphere

Comfortable and peaceful. Perfect and great value for money

The host dropped me off at the railway station after check-out.

Comfortable bright room, sparkly clean, ensuite toilet and washing basin. Terrific location, short drive to trailheads and the lake. Breakfast was plenty and all delicious, we were even lucky to get some extra treats from the hosts garden! The hosts were super warm and friendly, we hope to visit again!

Nothing really, out best stay in Myoko so far.
