Hotel Meribel Tsugaike

宿舍晚上9時就關燈，女浴湯也是準時9點清場，即使你在內差一點點還未梳洗完畢，阿伯也會強行進場善後，還表現出不耐煩及語氣不好的態度，太令人驚嚇了。房間隔音設備差，鄰近即聲音也清楚聽到。

Le style japonais et la tranquillité. Il y a tout l'équipement nécessaire y compris le onsen.

Accueil un peu abrupte et pas toujours disponible.

Room was spacious. Hotel was located away from the slopes so it was very peaceful. There were hot water flasks in the lobby and on the 2nd floor. Made it very convenient to make cup noodles. Hotel owner has a PA system which he uses to announce breakfast and dinner openings every day.

Property was a distance from the Gondola and not helped by the fact that it was a slight uphill climb every morning.

Very clean and comfortable and great value. Breakfast was excellent, Japanese tradition breakfast only which I love, but some westerners may not.

This hotel is run by a very hospitable Japanese family. Although I can't speak Japanese, they were very patient and we communicated well enough via translation apps and hand gestures. It was spotlessly clean, and very well presented. It is very basic accommodation but if you just want a clean space to shower and sleep, this is ideal. Upon arrival, the host informed us that although we had booked a single room for 4 people, that they would provide us with two rooms instead so we had more space. They didn't charge us any extra, and it was really nice to have more room. As Australians, we struggled to eat the Japanese breakfast that was included in our stay, however that is not a reflection of the quality of the meals. The breakfast included rice, miso soup, fish, pickled radish etc but also included an egg and ham each day. After noticing us struggling to eat the Japanese dishes, the host prepared us a special western-style breakfast which we greatly appreciated! All meals were beautifully presented and fresh. We stayed here to ski/snowboard, and it is a short walk to the slopes at Tsugaike. Dining and shopping options are a little limited in Tsugaike, so having a car here is recommended.

There is a strong cigarette smell in some areas of the hotel, but this didn't enter our rooms at all. Also the provided slippers were required to be worn throughout the hotel, but they weren't big enough for our teenage son's large feet.
