Overall, our stay at this hotel was good, with clean facilities and friendly staff. However, there were a few drawbacks that impacted our experience. Firstly, the price was a bit overpriced considering the location. The hotel is quite remote and far from any supermarket, which made it inconvenient for getting supplies. Additionally, our experience at the pool was less than ideal. Some other customers were very loud and disruptive, making it difficult to enjoy the pool area. The pool itself is not very large, so the noise and crowding significantly detracted from the comfort of the experience. Despite these issues, we still had a pleasant stay thanks to the hotel's overall quality and the attentive staff.

Everything, the rooms are very comfortable and the scenery is beautiful. If I ever return to Guarda I'm staying here again without a doubt.

The location is good. The house was comfortable and the heating worked well in the very cold weather we experienced. The beds were comfortable and the shower was good - always hot water available.

The road turning down to the property was difficult to manage, and also difficult when driving away from the property on to the main highway. (I suggest a road mirror at the top of the slope to show traffic coming from the left on the main highway.) In the house, I suggest a handrail for the stairs; in the main room a clothes stand to hang up coats and anoraks. Also upstairs, you could put hooks on the backs of the doors in the bedrooms and bathroom to hang up clothes and coats etc. In the kitchen you could make sure that the right glasses are available - 4 beer glasses and 4 wine glasses - we had to borrow some from the barbecue area. You could also draw guests' attention to the various cooking items in the barbecue area - pepper/salt/ olive/vinegar/cooking spices etc. We bought these items before we knew that there were some available. We were staying for a sports holiday (orienteering) and we needed clothes washing and drying facilities. If it is not possible to include a washing machine in the house, then perhaps the main service could include a twice weekly laundry service.

We travelled to the region for an orienteering event and really enjoyed staying at Alqueiturismo. Sandra was really friendly and helpful on arrival (thank goodness for google translate!!). The property was really big and we had lots of space. The woodburner was very cosy as the weather was very cold and wet.

It is a shame that there isn't more worktop space in the kitchen area and it was a bit difficult to plug in the kettle and toaster. There was only one sharp knife.

Everything here is superb. Our unit was on 2 floors - all spotless. Far more space than we needed. Wonderful gardens with a large pool. Parking right outside our apartment. The property is secure with gated access. Gorgeous views all round. A really lovely place. Highly recommend We ate at a super local restaurant called “Ponto de Encontro”. 3 courses for 2 people plus drinks and all for €37. A great stopover and only sorry it was just for one night

The only thing I’d mention is the turn into the access road which is very tight and needed a 3 point turn !

The location is amazing and the facilities are fabulous - the pool, bar, communal dining area etc. Fantastic. I will definitely go back next year for a longer stay.

I think perhaps because we were there in the off season, we were a bit abandoned. There were no coffee capsules in the room, none in the communal area and the vending machines were turned off, so there was nothing we could do to have a cup of tea or coffee. We never saw a staff member during our stay apart from the farmers and gardeners. But, that's probably our mistake and I'd arrive better prepared next time now that I know how it works. It wouldn't put me off going back - armed with my own bits and pieces to make tea etc.
