Barge At Titanic

Great location and novelty accommodation

Stayed here end of October and it was starting to get damp. Not necessarily the barges fault but expected when staying on water at this time of year maybe. I’d stay again during the summer time.

Fun and unique stay relevant to the maritime history of the city. Close to everything, Warm, well-appointed and cosy in Winter. Wish we stayed longer. A hit with our teens.

Novelty stay on a cute barge, fantastic location

It’s a boat so quite compact, low ceilings

The location was incredible. It was within easy walking distance to the Titanic Museum and right next to the Olympia which had a cinema, bowling, restaurants, and the W5 which was a science centre type place. The accommodation itself is quirky and really well decorated. The barge itself is split into two. We were in the bottom and I think the top one is the better of the two because it had a pull down projector screen and good views where we had a very small tv and not the best view. Host was lovely and very understanding .

The toilet was incredibly cramped and one thing to consider that we didn't was the weather. We stayed here during storm Darah and it was very scary, we unfortunately didn't stay the second night and checked into the premier inn because my children were too scared. This is absolutely no relection on the barge as you can't help mother nature but just be aware in a bad storm it's very noisy and moves a lot. It would be a fantastic place to stay in good weather

The idea of staying on a barge seemed different and exciting but upon arriving that all changed.

upon opening the front door, I was greeted with the smell of foist and damp. whilst looking around I noticed patches of black mould/damp in the walls and ceiling, I have chronic asthma so panicked instantly. There were cup staines throughout the barge and it didn't look like it had a thorough clean before us arriving, the soft furnishings were damp to the touch and couldn't be sat on and definitely not slept in. The bathroom was so small and the toilet didn't flush. I didn't use it but it already had toilet roll left in for us arriving and tried to flush it away myself and it wouldn't go. We checked out withing 30 minutes of checking in and luckily found somewhere else to stay. I contacted the owner to be met with a quite abrupt manner and after a couple of days recieved a partial refund. The overall experience wasn't great and we were all really looking forward to it too. Once all of the issues are fixed I'm sure the barge would be an excellent accommodation though.

such beautiful accommodation in an amazing setting. like a home from home. rooms were small but perfectly formed. it's a barge and every inch of space has been excellently accounted for

Location was excellent as it was close to the Titanic museum. Which was tje purpose of our trip. The barge was very unique and we enjoyed our stay in it.

No hot water in the evening.
