Family Ryokan Kawakyu with Showa Retro, private hot spring

The staff was great, very friendly. It was very clean and the room size was good. As westerners we didn't find sleepung on a futon as comfortable as others might. The location was walkable to everything we wanted to do.

Some things were a little old and it seemed expensive compared to the other place we stayed in the same town.

We enjoyed a wonderful experience at a traditional Japanese ryokan. I loved the laid-back atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing! And it was wonderful to be able to enjoy the baths.

On peut réserver le bain à l’aide d’un panneau, ce qui est pratique pour éviter les mauvaises surprises que j’ai déjà vécu lorsque il y a des étrangers dans ce type d’hébergement. Les règles à suivre sont bien expliqués, donc mon séjour s’est bien passé. La chambre était grande et bien équipé avec une ambiance chaleureuse. L’hôte qui m’a accueilli était gentille comme tout !

Room was what I expected and the hot spring bath was perfect. The highlight for me was the food. I ate in both nights and the food was amazing. Highly recommend

Not that I didn't like, but a little distance from the train station, given the heat and humidity.

As a tourist, it's one of the best experiences you can have. It's a traditional Japanese house, very simple, without luxuries but with all the comforts.
