Sails on Kos Ecolux Tented Village

Relaxing, familiar environment and delicious food, taken care of by a cool, nice owner and his attentive staff.

We are a family of four with two young children aged 6 and 4. We stayed in one of the family villas. We were really impressed with the amount of indoor and outdoor space we had, it was clean and had everything we needed. You can hear some noise from local resorts on an evening and from nearby tents but the 10.30pm quiet time rule tended to be respected by most and this was not a problem for us. We liked going to sleep hearing the crickets and waking up to bird song. The tent got quite hot in the day as expected but was cool enough to sleep by evening and has air coolers if needed. We ate at the taverna most days. Breakfast was good and the lunch/dinner menu has a lot of choice for adults. There is a kids menu and we ordered a few off menu dishes for our fussy eater which was never an issue. The playground next to the restaurant was really handy for keeping the kids entertained, and there are lots of free toys to play with in and out of the pool, as well as some daily activities that change each week. We enjoyed the lego building and toasting marshmallows on the campfire.

We found the “ten minute” walk to the beach quite far for our children in the heat - it took us nearer to 20/25 mins at their pace. We decided to hire out a car to explore more of the island and to get to the beaches and shops easier. Some of the vouleneer workers are quite rude but this was the minority, we did have some really good service too. We had a pair of sunglasses go missing from the sunbeds on the last day.

Lovely pool area and restaurant. Very good food and nice to relax. We enjoyed the outdoor feeling of the place. Reception were very helpful and organised a moped for us, and booked us a table at a restaurant.

You are in a tent so can hear everything - other people, the cockerel at 7am, the music playing at club somewhere. We were put in the tent on the end, with just some green netting between us and where the staff slept, so it wasnt quite a picturesque as in the photos. It is also a bit of a walk to the beach/ small town. Having said all that - the place has a really nice vibe and we would come back.

What a gem of a place! Nestled right in nature, it's perfectly situated between the city center and the airport, with the nearest beach just a 10-minute stroll away. We stayed in one of the safari tents, and it was nothing short of exceptional, equipped with every amenity you could think of. Though that was the only available tent we could book, I couldn't help but notice that the other tents also seemed inviting and comfortable. The staff and owner deserve a special mention for their impeccable service. Whether you're a solo traveler, traveling with a partner, or with family, this place caters to everyone. To top it all off, the drinks and coffees were delightfully refreshing and the breakfast was fine too. All in all, a splendid experience that left us yearning for more. We will certainly be returning!

Everything was excellent: friendly and polite staff, the vibe of the place, the location (free car parking, easy to get to every place of this beautiful island- in the middle of Kos and Kefalia, easy to access all locations), next to horse riding farm and lovely beach. It was our first long holiday together as a family of three and it was perfect! There were two areas for children to play and the swimming pool- kept our child occupied all the time! If we ever consider coming back to Kos - we will definitely stay here again!

The food was so tasty and delicious - every time we tried to eat somewhere else - it was never better 🤣 so you have to plan your travelling accordingly to the meal times (eating anywhere else looked like a money waste) 🤣🤣🤣 It would be really difficult for future trips as places like this is not easy to find 😭 Reality guys, not a one bad thing, 10 out of 10!
