I can’t rave enough about this beautifully renovated motel! This was the perfect location for us and walking distance to some great cafes and shops. We based ourselves here for the week to explore the Great Ocean Road and couldn’t recommend The Monty enough. Better than most your 4 star hotels - the finishes on everything were fantastic, the style of the property is great, the amenities are exactly what you need for a short stay (we stayed 6 nights). The rooms are spacious and well thought out and the bathroom (whilst a tad small) was perfect for 2 people. Can’t wait to come back!

What a gorgeous motel! We were lucky to stay shortly after the amazingly quirky stylish renovations. Loved the skylight in the bathroom and big fluffy towels. Wonderful location near boardwalk and restaurants. The pool area was very inviting for a car park pool and much appreciated after a big day playing tourist.

The fridge was quite small and hopefully a larger sign will be added as quite difficult to find off highway.

To begin with, the room price was declining very next day to $100.00 lower to what I payed for the room! They advertised the breakfast as a nice continental breakfast and charging $38.00 per person for one day - they gave us one loaf of bread, four pieces of small butter, 4 small bottle of orange juice (2days for 2people $152). It was very unpleasant stay overall. The bed was comfortable though.

They should research on the a good continental breakfast, and provide an honest description. It was a motel, they should provide with a microwave.

Staff were lovely, motel looks as great in real life as it does in the pictures. Rooms are spacious, very comfy and the whole motel was super clean. Will be back.
