Amskou Camp

Ali is a great host, caring, helpful and funny in a very nice way. He will do everything to make your stay comfortable. Room/tent is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Hot water available at a request (my family of 4 people could take a nice hot shower). The heating (aircon with heating function) was working very well. We were in January, where temperature at night was only 2-3 degrees and we still could sleep in a warm tent. Beds were comfortable and duvets were big and warm and bed linen were clean. The food prepared by camp was delicious - great Berber omlette and Tagine. The camp itself is well arranged and pleasant. It is one of the closest to the dunes, maybe 15-20 minutes and you are close to the bigest dunes (we were walking alone there). If you need to rent a quad (which we did), Ali can help with everything. Overall a very nice stay! Dariusz (Poland) and a family.

Si quieres tener una buena experiencia en el desierto por favor no vallas a este lugar.

Very good location close to the Dunes, heated tent and comfortable bed.

Staff weren’t very helpful or hospitable, the inside of the tent didn’t live up to the claimed “luxury” standard, especially as the attached bathroom was partly open in a family tent for 4 and there were no curtain or door to separate it. The food served on Xmas night was not great and the service was poor.

The tent was furnished very well, it was super cute and the bed was comfortable. The view from the windows was beautiful and the camp itself was presented very nicely. The staff were lovely and very kind. The breakfast was very nice as a whole.

We specifically booked this camp because it was advertised as having air con/heating. This is shown in the pictures and under facilities with no extra cost being mentioned. We were told that it did not work at night because it works off the solar power, but then we were told we could have it on if we paid 30EUR?? The tent was freezing and very uncomfortable and it felt very dishonest to advertise as having heating then demand more money for it/lie about it not working. Be aware the transfer to the camp is not included either and is €20 each, unless you choose to pick a camel ride at €30 each. We chose the camel thinking we would be taken right into the big dunes for sunset. We were not, instead being taken a short distance from the camp by a young boy, to an early full of vegetation and chewed up with quad tracks and footprints, not the picturesque impressive dunes you see online. The camp is actually quite far away from the dunes. For €60 I felt this was very poor value for money and I wish we had both bothered with the camels and just walked into the dunes ourselves. The whole area felt like a bit of a tourist trap and the experience didn't really live up to our expectations unfortunately.

Camp w świetnej lokalizacji, na wyciągnięcie ręki od malowniczych pustynnych wydm. Bardzo dobrze wyposażony. Kameralny - tylko 8 namiotów. W namiocie jest wszystko co potrzebne. Bardzo życzliwy, uczynny i miły personel. Przepyszne jedzenie - w cenie kolacja i śniadanie. Bardzo obfite - prawie nie do przejedzenia. Miły wieczór przy ognisku i berberskiej muzyce w wykonaniu samych gospodarzy.

Location was very good. If you want a remote location away from other camps, this is it. We were the only guests at the camp, so even more quiet. Both breakfast and dinner were good and there were some variety. Tent was nicely decorated, and bed was really comfortable. Very nice view of the dunes from the windows. After dinner berber music was great and we learned to play also. Transportation is included in price. In the night stargazing is a must.

We chose the camp because it said there would be heating. One night was really cold so we asked for it, but staff said it doesn't work and offered us an extra blanket. It didn't help much, as it was cold inside the tent. Also warm water was something you had to ask for separately. We also took the 4x4 halfday tour. It was quite expensive and in my opinion, not worth the money. It was a rainy day, so some of the sights didn't happen. Also a bit of language barrier, so not that much information about things. Also questions asked were not fully understood.

La location in mezzo al deserto, molto suggestivo il giro in fuoristrada. Stanza accogliente. Buonissima la cena berbera. Consigliatissimo.

Mancavano le prese in stanza, presenti solo usb per le ricariche della strumentazione elettronica. Personale disponibile, mi hanno acceso il generatore per sistemare i capelli.
